I was playing in moongamers oman server and I got kicked for baseraping because I attacked the MEC IGLA in the base where the jets spawn. Normally i wouldnt have any problem with this because this particular server is a no base rape/***** server but....my two prievious deaths were from this IGLA from the same guy who dicided he was going to camp it, so i say screw him and strafe the thing killing him in a most satisfying way. unfortunatly i also him another mec player in the process who just so happened to be an admin. first thing i do is say "I'm sorry I was just killing the AA didnt mean to get you, he is atacking me while im flying out side of your uncap" no words from the admin i just get kicked. Any one elss experianced this bull**** before? or even on this server, I feel this is the main problem with no base rape servers.

Yeah, but not this server, I was on a airmaps playin FuShe, rules were no attacking uncap right? Me and my friend are in a helo flying around, we notice its the admin in the IGLA, so f*** it we took him out then my friend got kicked cause he was the gunner -

Its a good idea to keep notes when playing BF2. There are to many nit picking things to remember on some servers so I will write down small notes about things like this. Maybe someday all servers will just let you log on and play, as long as you arent useing a cheat or glitching etc. everything that you can think of to do is ok.
Some people need to learn all the skills required for this game. Shooting and flying isnt all there is, ever hear of defense. Or maybe trying to take the high ground, first. Oh well, its just another wonderful day on the Battlefield. . . . . . . . .RedComment

Some admins Kick if your better than them, I’ve had that a few times. ( The sorry your killing me kick)- which means the Admin is about 10 years old.
Some admins do nothing so pointless. Easy to spot TK so do something.
The best one was I was kicked for defending the ship with the anti-air because I was base camping! I nearly fell over laughing – its my base. Just the fact I killed those base raping jets a few times.Comment

It actually is a common practice in many games for players to snipe, or otherwise shoot you from the safety of their 'spawns' or 'restricted areas'. I've always defended myself, and gone in after them if need be to show I won't tolerate it. Most of the time I get away with it - the other times I get kicked - whoopedy doo. I got BANNED for "attacking an uncap" when I was trying to kill a mig for like 2 minutes, and he runs to his runway, I kill him when he flys over, and I get banned.Comment

i accidentally bombed a buggy in the main base once and the whole other team started SCREAMING "CPt BUCK IS BASERAPING KICK HIM" i said i was sorry, i got disoriented. so i shoot both jets down in the f18. then i see them say "admin! i thot you were gonna kick cpt buck for baseraping" so the admin gives me a warning. not sure why, but it kinda irked me. i finally got kicked for killing the admin over and overComment

edit: seeing posts about being kicked for killing admins...this is not something that we allow. Most of the time, however, we find that if you killed an admin and were kicked it was because you broke a rule to obtain that kill, such as spawn camping, or something similar along those lines.Comment

I guess I'd get kicked from your server as well, because if I saw some guy firing from the IGLA in the MEC Base, I'd fire a rocket into the uncap and take him out, without feeling a twinge of guilt whatsoever.Originally posted by LinComment

Well on are server we are really strict about attacking the uncap, except for spec ops. But if some one is shooting out of the uncap or sitting on an igla, they are fair game.Comment

Don't waste your life on any server that has lame no uncap attack rules (moongamers being a prime example). It's just a crutch used by poor players to fly the jets. Artificial rules like this are designed to give a segment of the server population an advantage over others.Originally posted by autowolf

This rule artificially handicaps good players so poorer players don't have to deal with them. Again, I urge you not to waste your life on servers that limit the scope of gameplay (including Infantry Only but thats a whole new topic).

1. If a jet is being locked on by an IGLA, you want the player to get out of the jet, parachute into their main base, run up to the IGLA and C4 it? Yeah, good luck. I hate base rapers and I would never dream of asking some one to do that.
2. You can't attack the UCB with vehicles, but feel free to drop arty and on foot. I know their is a difference in the effectiveness between the two, but it seems you're being a bit inconsistent.
3. There is only one type of "camping" in BF 2 and that's spawn camping (which is cheap unless you are taking a flag). Any other type of camping is called defense. I would think autowolf consider his use of the IGLA a threat to him and the jet he was flying, you can't camp in your own UCB.
Some times I think it's a good thing to be banned from servers. I don't think I have done anything that really justifies a ban, but the few times it has happened, it was because of a stupid selfish admin. Though, I have been kicked enough for not following or knowing the server rules and I respect that.Comment
