have any of you bumped into an enemy while your standing with a support gun and then held fire and not a single bullet hits them? theyre chest is in the crosshair all the time, but im sure the bullets come out of the gun at right angles :/
doesnt happen with normal guns like the AK's, i nearly always kill a player close up with them.

Yep and that why when most of the community isnt playing medic or sniper they forget to go prone and die.
Truely mastering support means truely mastering insta prone and crouching to get up.
Rarely wil a standing or crouched shot land, I usually only take that shot if Im on top the guy at less then 5 feet or inside them.
The deviation is so extreme standing, it bends reality.

I was playing Jala today, I was in a tower sniping, an enemy supply climbs up to get me, I pull the knife, he lets rip. We did 'the dance' in that tiny little space for over 10 seconds, and I knifed him before he could land more than a few shots on me.

It really is pathetic.

I don't have a problem with supports spraying like crazy when fighting, they hardly ever hit me but sometimes I get really angry that BF2 rewards players who spray their gun without actually TRYING to aim. My first post was made right after I got off BF2, I had had a couple set of bad games and wasn't no happy at the time :P, but I still think that the knifing is annoying. Theres been times when I've stabbed a guy 3+ times only to have him finally notice me and either A: Spray in my face if he's prone or B: starting jumping around like crazy throwing nades,spamming claymores ect..

Just go prone every time you see an enemy. It`s a bit ghey but works most of the time. If you`re using PRK, don`t bother pulling your iron-sight up, just spam short bursts while prone. That`s BF2 for ya- Realistic look, totally opposite gameplay. That`s what fooled me into buying this game.

The reason you're getting this is lag, simple as that. While you see him opposite you, he's noticed the bullets and turned around, and popped a cap in yo *** long before the server updates for you.

what is this cone of fire you speak of? most of the time when i aim at the enemy if he is far i wait about 2/3 of a second to let the sight set in and burst, i dont jump around spraying, thats just silly. also most guns actually do have bullet drop like snipers so try that.

I almost allways play support, but you cant hit crap when you just lay on the trigger, even up close sometimes. It sounds real mean though lol. I find it easier to use any other weapon than it is using support. I allways have to go prone to shoot the darn thing and get an accurate burst usually 2 to 3 and ive got the kill and if not then a team mate just has to spit on him to kill him and you get the kill assist. Ive even been called out as having aimbot from some cry baby just because he probably doesnt know how to play support. Its fun to play once you figure out how to shoot with it. Its not like real life though...Im a m240 gunner at my unit and I can shoot more accurate than the game can so it was frustrating at first lol. I have a tutorial vid in the forums somewhere.
