They are just dealing with hauling a third or more of their body weight into combat. Getting up from prone while wearing jeans and a t-shirt is a little different from doing it with your 12 year old sibling on your back and while holding a weapon. Try it. Get someone to sit on your back while you lie on your stomach in the prone holding a broom handle. Then try and get up as quickly as possible. Then jump around. Enjoy.
i just want to stand up when i press the damn button and the kits i play dont appear to have backpacks full of 12yr old children
the players movement in this game is far from fluid...

BF2 isnt a sim, so why make it slow?

such shi**y hit detection coupled with deviation made the led to endless gymnastics fire fights. You think bunny hopping is bad just imagine it with people on there bellys. Prone+jumping= altered hitboxes and max accuracy..wise the best choice under and returning fire.

People took this knowledge and macro'd it, mastered it physically and exploited it to some degree.

Seriously, you have to really add in all the factors.
Sure there are games that allow a more fluid gameplay but then we have to take into account that.
        A. they lack any sense of realism, while Bf2 adds Arcade (insta heals, supply boxes etc..) plus it brings reality (guns, vehicles, armies)

        B. Bf2's hit detection is crap and low accuracy guns.
If you took another games functioning detection and accuracy and applied old school Bf2 it would work. People would be as vaulnerable belly flopping prone as they would be standing or simply hopping.

Now taking out shooting while jumping...this I'll never understand.
The delay yeah Ill submit to that and relize its a quick fix to a broken system, but shooting while jumping nerfed...terrible.

I understand the reasons to the jumping-shooting nerf...were they reasonable fixes..no.
First Im guessing it was to curb the GL problem. Yeah the Hop-GL move was pitiful, it was like a jihad claymore sniper...only the assualt guy would live 99% of the time, sometimes with 0 injury.
Ok, how do we fix this..nerf jump shooting..wtf? Just boost GL blast radius!

Next Im guessing C4 tossing was factored in to the nerf on jump-shooting/tossing. Ok by far the worse fix, the best way to counter these tactic would be to put a delay between placing and detonating. There is no reason to have C4 able to be deployed then instantly detonation, even against tanks this would mean suiside.

Lastly Im guessing the jump-shoot nerf was aimed slightly towards DD/prone spamming...which baffles me since the delay counters this on its own.

One thing Id like to add...
        its Bf2, its not CS...UT..CoD.
Dont compare, dont wish for the same stuff.
When you hop on Bf2 know that your movement and accuracy will be limited to some degree then those games..but its Bf2 and not them, so adapt and understand any changes are what the community or developers wanted and decided to stick with.
Just as Bf2 lacks or makes you cringe in its controls opposed to other games...remeber the good points.
Its not another god damn WW2 game
        It isnt the future
Its the best Military Mutiplayer Present Day FPS.

For all of you complaining about gameplay mechanics, do everyone a favor and stop posting. Better yet, stop playing the game! I've been playing BF2 since it was a ****in' demo. I've played through every patch released and I've never really complained about anything except the stupid hit boxes.

Dolphin diving and bunny hopping don't belong in BF2. BF2 is an arcade game, but with the time period and weaponry, there should be a SENSE of realism. Dolphin diving and bunny hopping severely took away from that sense of being on the battlefield and catered to the NOOBS who couldn't go head to head with someone without jumping around like an over-caffeinated 12 year old girl.

Dairuka, you WILL NOT WIN the average duels at close ranges while sniper. Im not whining, i love it in fact, when snipers choose to try and cap a flag with little or no support. I've never seen a successful close range sniper, and i never will. Easy kill for me. Heres the average scenario: sniper comes up to you, plants a claymore, and he runs away from you hiding. Then the non sniper chases him, claymore does absolutely nothing for 3 seconds which is plenty of time to get through. Now your face to face with the sniper, he either repeats the step or goes for his knife/pistol, in some cases his sniper rifle which is never successful if it is bolt-action. Non-sniper easily guns down sniper. Worst case scenario i live with 2 bars of health left. Snipers should just give distant support to teammates. When i spawn i never even pull out my claymore, maybe 1/5 times. Id rather watch paint dry then see myself get a kill with a god damn claymore. I just snipe, which is what their supposed to do. I think its ridiculous how a newbie can get an easy 2:1 KD ratio simply because he gets 2 claymores.

And please stop comparing bf2 to real life, you can skydive into a cockpit of a mig-29 for christs sake.

Lots of people underestimate the versatility of a sniper.

Of course, that underestimation turns into complaints about hacking when I destroy not only one person in close quarter's combat, but a whole squad.

Silenced Pistols are very deadly when used to mop up the remnants of an enemy's health. VERY Deadly. Of course, thats only after I throw a couple grenades, and placed a couple claymores. It's very cheap, but it's extremely effective.

In head-on, 1 vs 1 combat, at 50m away? I can almost guarantee to you that I can defeat nearly anybody to the kill. All I have to do is wait for the moron to prone. Then it's an easy headshot for me, and only a few bars of health gone. I only die if I miss.

Your extensive experience coupled with your true skill and prowess with the sniper rifle kit certainly speaks volumes with that statement.

              How about a 4.4 K/D with over 8500 kills?

              I never spoke about realism.

I instead mocked you people for your inability to adapt.

For those who adapted and still complain. Well... turnabout is fair play.

I laugh at "combat snipers" spamming nades, and claymores at me, then trying to pullout a pistol, probably my favorite kills, especially when I shockpaddle them...scrubs.

Lol you didn't need to use macros to do that... You needed skill. jjks you just hit SPACEBAR-Z-Ctr-SPACEBAR-Z-Ctr and so on and so forth.

                  This is a bf2 macro http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...75&q=bf2+macro

umm.. i was just saying that newbies can get an easy 2:1 kd ratio with claymores, of course more experienced players can get more.

the realism thing wasnt directed towards you. In fact, only the beginning was.

I've adapted im just saying this game is limiting my ability to improve. I die because im not quick enough which leads to this game's fluidness itself, in other words my fingers easily outrun the game's mechanics.
