yeah it is....i watched that part of future weapons and i began thinking how funny it would be if it were put into BF2. One shot kills on the body from a mile away, could take out an entire squad in seconds. people would probably either never play the game again or everyone would use it. complete chaos.

somethng around that, they would have to drop 1 weapon to be able to add another and that will cause alot of trouble they wouldnt want.

they dont visit here that often, and i very much doubt they wont be adding anything new to the game, BF2 is past its sell buy

Thanks for your input. It's a shame they think that way. I mean CS and CS:S is well beyond any value of sell buy and yet they are still running strong with new ideas and support (even if it's not a good idea...at least the effort is put in). O well such is life, maybe I like Bf2 to much...

if they would ad it, it should only fire while prone, just like the PoE2-sniper rifle that you can find on secret places.

If it's a .50 it would definatley (sp?) get whored. You can't just take a .50 caliber and nerf it to the strength of the SVD, either.

Face it. US are stuck with bolt action.

Not necessarily a compromise can be made, no biggie there. But I do like the idea of the weapon to only fire when prone.

Wasn't this Sniper or at least some other auto sniper planned into the game? I thought it was somewhere in the files. Just check this path:

why dont they add the ability to select WHAT unlocks you want in the first place I.E. in BFHQ select your favorites to use in game that would take care of a 4th tier of them

Because they thought it was a bright idea to select a kit instead of a weapon. Something that many complained about before the release of the demo!! If you want to go medic with a DAO-12 what's the problem? The only kit that would be limited is snipers.

There should have been at least 25 weapons in which you could choose. Then have the specialty weapons like RPGs, Sraw, Sniper rifles, etc thats only selected per specific kit. Then have your selection of hand guns (side arms for clarity). Everything from desert eagle to .44 mag to a 38 special if you like. Then you have your selection of ordnance: smoke, flash, frag, concussion, percussion, anti tank and incendiary grenades. Remember this games doesn't simulate real life therefore, weapon selection should be a bit forgiving. Each kit would come with it's speciality without a tier such as Assault with grenade launcher, Medic with shock pads and medic bag, Support with ammo bag, Special Ops with C4, Snipers with claymores.

Therefore you would have 4 tier Armament structure:
Tier 1 Main Weapon
Tier 2 Side arm
Tier 3 Ordnance
Tier 4 Specialty weapons like Sniper Rifle and anti tank/jet etc.

If they had used this method it would have eliminated any issues. Instead they have to attach a few weapons per kit.

I have been wanting a semi auto sniper rifle for an unlock for sometime now. I like the SVD for intent and purposes but it's the only semi auto sniper rifle in BF2 and it's only accessible if you are on 1 side. Therefore, I offer a suggestion to include a semi auto sniper rifle as a unlock. The AS-50 does suite this purpose. It's has a 5 round mag of .50 rounds.
It's very accurate in semi auto mode (look at the grouping)

SVD isn't the only semi-auto.. chinese has one.

Type-98 or something.. or 88.. I can never remember.. get the tank/sniper mixed up.. Oh well I never play china.

In future weapons they showed the M95, semi automatic shooting through the panelling of an APC with standard rounds!!

If they brought that into BF2 everyopne would go sniper!!!
