I'v always considered spawnkilling as a less chaotic way of baseraping. Spawnkilling your just running around with your rifle/shotgun/sniper killing peole at a spawn point. Base rape is when you take a chopper/jet/tank and proceede to rape the players spawning at that point.

Spawn raping is definitely the cheapest way to get kills!! Base raping isn't as bad...however if they are at their last base and you're raping, tickets go down faster and it isn't exactly fair.

If you came on our server i would kick you for base raping, the red circle is there for a reason!!

It is very important to note that when a squad is trying to take a flag, they usually watch the spawn points. If you spawn there again, well you arent that smart. This is not spawn raping. But if some punktard sits there all game well then there you go.

And for base raping? Who cares. I was at Karkand inf only and they came up the hill and totally kicked our ***.

We then did the same a few rounds later, It was a blast.

I say let this game have no rules, as experienced players can deal with a few tards stealing stuff and being a nuicance.

Uh, no. They obviously don't like that kind of playstyle. It keeps people on the front lines. Like I said in the other thread, I don't really mind getting sniped or bombed at my base (their loss, could be doing WAY more effective team duties), but some people really get irritated with it.

Thats like saying servers with FF on are retarded, or vice versa. Playstyles are different, thats all.

No. Servers that claim it's attacking an uncap when you shoot the enemy plane over their airfield and then kick you for it...that is retarded.

I've always thought that allowing ucb attacks tends to discourage ppl from gathering in ucbs doing **** but run around in circles at jet spawn.

I don't mind ucb attack rules all that much (imo ucb is free game as well), since they're so prevalent, but disallowing rape at cappable flags is just plain lame in my opinion, and it's impossible to enforce in a fair way anyway.

Any baserape/spawncamp rules are in my opinion just training wheels, I'm all ok on giving newbies a softer start to keep them playing, but I'm kinda annoyed at people who think it's a rule set in stone, and complain about it on servers that allow it. When people try to threaten you by reporting to ROE because you're raping their spawns, something went pretty wrong at some point (either with basecamp rules or ROE .. or both)

Uh, no. Not at all, its lame, babyish and stupid. All bases should be fair game, they have defenses for a reason.

most ucbs have no more defences than normal flags - its only the carriers that can defend themsleves

I'm sorry what? There's almost always a mounted mg or two, TOW's and IGLA's if its a air map.

Carriers are more than able to defend themselves

base rape is only ok if you have every flag besides the uncap other then that its a cheap tactic unless your infantry. i lliked in somemods how the uncaps are out of bounds to enemy soliders.

For me the answer to this is simple. Post the server rules for everyone to read and have them scroll by in the text chat during the game. If a server allows it and you dont like it dont play there and visa versa. If you violate the rules you should be warned and then kicked, no exceptions.

I was on a server that allowed you 3 team kills and then booted you, so after two guys tried to pull the old knife and revive on me (again) I escaped from them and killed the USMC player and went and knifed and revived the medic, who had been reviveing me, those 3 times. Of course I got booted for the rest of the round. I just changed my account came back, during the same round, and did it again. After getting booted, again, I went back to my main account and played one round on another server. Then I rejoined the first server and looked for the players who had been doing the K/R thing but they were now gone.

The whole point to that last paragraph is that some players just wont play fair, I dont think that they can. So knowing what the rules on that server were I got what I deserverd but they did too. If you dont like how the server runs the game do something about it. Sadly, sometimes, all you can do is leave the server. Being Red like I am I sometimes just loose it and will go, off into the Red zone, and kill one player as much as I can, no matter what. Thats not really a good practice but thats just me. . . . . . . . . . . . .Red
