Also haven't been playing much ranked.

I never did find in Wake what most people did. Sure it was fun for a while, because I love the challenge of setting a foothold, and the flying wasnt that bad either, but in all honesty, getting beat because your team just isnt on par with the necessary requirements to actually be somewhat successful quickly drove the fun out, and I sure as hell didnt want to fly on that map for hundreds and hundreds of hours.

Kubra Dam and OCS, and Oman some for flying, and anything except Shongua Stalemate (and Wake) for infantry and ground work. The only reason I dislike Shongua, is because it requires exceptional skill from my part to enjoy that map, and I am just not that good on the ground.

Zatar and Daqing are underplayed maps, for some reason no american server hosts these maps. Wake is good because its fun to bomb soft targets and light up the scoreboard.

I have a grand total of 24:36:12 hours in wake. This is mainly because our own server runs solely wake and i've been forced into there ;P I'm not too fond to it, i prefer more cqc. Besides, i hate everything that stays in the air longer than 15seconds.

Has anyone experienced this yet? I use to hate Wake Island, played one round and ended 12-22, after being teamswitched twice, USMC-PLA-USMC. But now, in the words of Justin Timberlake and that Mcdonalds commerical, I'm Lovin it! My sniper ratio is increasing drastically, and I havent even stepped foot in a jet yet.

The horrible imbalances seen on that map have little affect on me, the J-10 whore Generals are but a triffle of annoyance, its plain old fun. I've seen more squading and teamwork on that map then any other. >.>

I love Wake on the USMC because of the inherent challange built into the USMC team. Honestly, the PLA get a +10 handicap from the start because of how the map is setup. It requires so much team work, manuever, and knowledge to pull out the win.

If your F35s don't coordinate with the team, you lose. If the Cobra doesn't clear your foot hold, you lose. If your Blackhawk doesn't run good routes, you lose. Everyone has to come together to win.

Conversely on maps like Karkland, a single well oiled squad can pull out the win alone.

wake is awesome, its my most played map ranked, i also play on unranked wake plus if I have to test anything or practice something, I choose an empty wake server

its just so nice and clear and colourful, no fake computer generated brown haze, great dogfighting, not too many vehicles for a small map, everyone knows the score strategy wise - whats not to like?

IMHO, Wake is one of the worst maps ever. That, RtJ, and Karkand and the three worst. My msot played is Sharqi Peninsula, but my favorite would have to be Daqing, Kubra, or Dalian.

But, I come from a long time playing Far Cry, and the tropical beachhead style map of Wake is just not appealing. FC gave me very high standards for games with a tropical setting(or single maps).
