Nah, lol. I unlocked the G3 quite soon, pehaps the second or third unlock? Anyway, when i first got it i hated it. Now as ive progressed throughout the game, i now love it. I have the F2000 and i like this gun but well the G3 is something else. and to think the only reason i started using it was because you cant get F2000 in SF. the nades are an added bonus, the only annoyance is the 20 round clip.

G3 is the best weapon BF2 has to offer for the assault class. Keep using it and you will find great results.

I've recently started going assault all the time to get the hours in for the expert badge. Never used to like the G3, kept running out of bullets and getting shot while reloading. Put it on to single shot and now can't seem to miss!!!!

Before assault i was using the DAO-12 a lot which as you know needs a fast mouse finger to get the shots off rapidly, this has definitely helped with the G3 on single shot.

Also been using the AK-101 and F2000 grenade launchers...before i c
ouldnt hit the TV station in Sharqi if i was stood on it!! But now ...1 shot kills 95% of the time. Althouigh, even though it apparently isnt, the F2000 GL seems to have less of a splash when it hits the target.

Regarding 1 shot kills...most of the rifle can apart from the P90, couple of spec forces guns, PP-19, pistols etc. When hit in the head the damage is trebled so if the gun normally makes 34% or higher per shot then its a 1 shot headshot kill.

i only really play with G3 when USMC/PLA or playing SF cos i like the AK101 in vanilla and the F2000 on SAS.

Are you delusional? Only the AK101 stands a chance against either of these weapons. I guess it's down to skill.

People always ask me "is the M16 one shot kill weapon?" I say no, as it is. Then, if they're stupid enough they say I must have aimbot or something.

I would take M16 over any other assault rifle almost any time. AK-101 is a fine weapon, but M16 is the real beast. People always underestimate it and I laugh at those people who use high-damage spray and pray noobcannons :)

M16 is like surgeons knife, it's extremely accurate, it can take two shots in the head anytime at any distance. And the most well kept secret: it does the same damage over any distance, unlike other assault rifles which lose their power exponentially.

All weapons which do over 33 damage to body are one shot killers in the head at point blank, but will lose one shot kill capability over distance quickly.

E: if you think about it theoretically, no other assault rifle has any changes to win M16, except lucky headshots over distance with AK-101 or 47. All other weapons lose their one-shot-kill capability at ~50-70m. M16 kills faster than any other weapon (except G36, but it loses power over distance) in one-on-one cqb situation. Am I right?

hey i was wondering does every weapon 1 shoot kill
if you hit them in the head
cause i was playing the other day and i kept running into a guy with a g3 and he would kill me in 1 shot

Check the BF2 Weapons Chart (Update: 09/04/2006) and scroll down to the weapon-chart.
If you get an above 100 score after multiplying the damage for a weapon times three you have a one-shot kill weapon (headshots are times 3).

Where did you get the information on damage reduction over distance? This is the first time I've read anything about that in these forums...
