    how come?

    *do u guys get lower fps in armored fury and euroforce compared to the regular bf2 maps?? my FPS drop into the 40's in euroforce compared to karkand where i get 75 constant

    I don't have AF. And just started playing BF2!

    But in CSS, my FPS varied from map to map, i.e. de_dust has 40-70, but then cs_italy has like 60-120.

    So yeah, I think it differs.

      Certain maps and spots have a larger weight put on your graphics processor. I haven't noticed EF or AF being as bad as some spots in Special Forces. Maybe you can empty your graphics cache and let it re-optimize. May clear things up for you.

        with SF there are more accessible areas that must be loaded into memory, with the commensurate drop in fps due to having more surfaces rendered in detail; i imagine on maps like great wall the same thing applies.

        example--it is far less taxing to render a "box building" (hotel karkand) than is inacessible than it is to render an accessible building (inside the great wall/on top of structures in SF) due to the increased textures.
