There's a little red cross under your microphone volume bar.
Might want to remove that

hehe i did see that but if i untick it, i can hear whats going thru the mike in my speakers. lol and soundrecorder still doesnt receive any sound

Nevermind i got it working, turns out to be i changed all of the settings in the controll pannel except the voice one...someohow i missed that. I apprecite everyones help and my audio in-game now works fine :)
