Side story, but I had a round on Sharqi today where we (MEC) captured the TV station first, and my squad was assigned defense.

I'm not normally a claymore whore, but I had a blast with perpetual claymores at either end of the flag room (one at the deck ladder, and one at the stair door). My squad leader played spec ops to demo toys, and the US commander was dropping crates left right and center to repair, so I had an endless supply with two in play and two in my kit at all times.

28 kills in the round, most by claymore, and several counted as flag defense for bonus points. It was the first experience I've had with guys bypassing my mines, but it only seemed to happen when I dropped a mine, and they were already within the blast radius. One medic stood there within the death zone and dropped his whole supply of medic bags at his feet as if he hoped it would counteract the blast when he moved. No such luck! :laugh:

It was still friggin hilarious to hear from the stairwell:

You need to calywhore for Expert Explosive, so I did :)

Karkand as MEC, I would run up to the USMC and toss down one claymore. Then I would dart to the side and toss my second facing the first. First claymore gets a kill, the guy gets revived, then the medic and other guy die from the second claymore. Run back for ammo and health: repeat. I got something like 50 claymore kills :)

Claymores only seem to explode when you make eye contact with them Those who bypass are simply closing their eyes. lol

Right, the claymore only explodes upon infantry who are concious of its presence. :p

If you see a claymore. Count to ten and turn around. Turn back around fast and run past. You will not feel a thing. Death will be instantaneous! There is no way around unless you come from behind or at a 90 angle at the side. They have a 3 second fuse...

yes claymores are fuxored now!!! ive seen about 10 of them walk over mine and nothing then boom!! teamkill:cry: and its funny how i can see the red X but lots dont and punish bloody noobs!

team mates stay clear of other peoples clays as i use them for defence placements DER!

Claymores have no "timed fuse" and are set u p by tripwire or pressure plates. All snipers should be thankful that they magically go off with laser tripping or something. The mines are fickle maidens; sometimes allowing you to crawl up to them and other times blowing you away from 20+ feet

I havent noticed people survivng running over the claymores but I have died more then once from what I thought was the rear of the claymore and then getting wiped off my feet. I thought the curve was obvious? either that or its as said above...if you see it you die. Be blind in the game, run around screaming, shooting randoms, kill every poor sob that just spawned and recieve tons of points. Booyah

ive come across claymores that i have detonated, and the blast hadnt killed me, only reduced my health some.....thats wierd i think.....ive only done twice (on accident) and havent been able to repete this intentionally

Yes, they have a fuse of sorts. After you deploy it arms three seconds later...

haha claymores are so funny the best thing EVER is locating a knifer, someone whos looking to get a knife badge or summit and drawing your knife to him and dancing a little. little does he know as soon as he moves in, BOOM if you position yourself right behind a claymore it only shellshocks you but its SO DAM FUNNY watching sum1 come four you to only get blown up leaving you untouched
