Claymore Cheats?

Is there anyway to bypass a claymore?

I have seen numerous times on different servers where you lay a claymore on both sets of stairs or ladders to a building and certain people bypass them and come up stairs or ladder and kill you clearly bypassing claymore.. you respawn and both your claymores are still there.

They cant be using a life points cheat because claymores are still there.

hmm I have seen it done I sure as hell can't do it otherwise if that person has been dead for X amount of time or something like that it wont exploide is what i am thinking.

ive walked behind and around claymores placed non-strategically and people have asked me if i had some kind of cheat

maybe ur placing them so the'yre back is not to a wall or something and they creep around it

Yes you can with a wrench. Edit: Maybe you placed them in the wrong.

Engineer can remove them. I always manage to get blown up by them even when I give them a very wide berth. You can jump over them if you are lucky.

When you set a claymore down it isn't activated immediately.. it takes like 5 seconds or something.

Also, there are certain angles you can walk into and not activate it. Like have you ever went around a corner, have just enough time to see the claymore, stop, and think "... oh ****" and then you barely move and it goes off..

Well sometimes you can just go full speed and run or jump and the claymore might or might not go off, but if it does, it may not even hurt you.

They're really buggy. But then again, what in this game isn't?

worse than that is spotting it...moving back and a numb nut team m8 runs round the corner and you get caught in the blast

Like the guy a few posts up said: they take a couple seconds to "arm", and also sometimes can be walked around at the correct angle.

BUT, I have personally walked right through them and had them NOT detonate, even though they had been placed at least 10 seconds prior.

This I think is what the OP is speaking of. I notice it each time it has happened, not a fluke, but not common either. Just totally random, sometimes they are a dud I guess :)

And no, it wasn't facing the wrong way...this included running directly towards it from at least 10 feet away...right through it and 10 feet directly behind it...no boom.

The original question shouldn't concern cheat claymores, but rather cheating players who might be immune to claymores. I don't cheat so I can confirm it is just random instead since I was the survivor many times, not the claymore layer.

All of these claymores were placed at beginning of round as soon as I got to building and I had not died and had been there several minutes before players runnning up stairs or ladders and somehow avoiding them never triggering them.

Claymores only seem to explode when you make eye contact with them Those who bypass are simply closing their eyes. lol

Could be a bug, because when I was trying to get my expert knifing badge. I had seen two snipers on the same building (perfect), I saw their claymores (they were facing me) but they didn't blow me up. So they both accused me of hacking.

And do you play on the TEC squad server? Because I've seen you spamming your SVD like there's no tomorrow. :)

Of course there isn't a cheat for it. Although I remember with Counter-Strike 1.6 you had cheats as Speedhack which let you move faster but I don't think that's possible in BF2.

It could have been some bug or something from that kind. I doubt it's a cheat / hack.

yes, let your team mates run into it to set it off if you know it's there. if your a medic, just go revive them.
