off the bat its hard to take anything you say seriously when you use the old "don't criticize unless you can do it" argument as it is most likely the most retarded fanboi argument ever used (and its used allot by people) it's utterly flawed and devoid of logic. using that point just makes people look stupid like a 11 year old child. I'm not saying you don't have points and I have not played BF2142 and hell it might be great I'm just telling you that point is retarded to a new level and you should avoid using it ever again. and as far as doing things a mod could never do to bf2 take a look at what FH2 is doing its amazing :)

Fanboy? I have played the demo a few times at most. I don't have the game. I am not sure if I will buy it. If I do, I will only once First Strike (Star Wars Mod) releases. Its not my kind of game really. It can be fun, but eh - basically too arcadey for me and lots of the time I don't find it fun. I only play BF2 for Project Reality. I am actually taking it to the point of view apart from mind, as if I were one who actually DID like it and used accurate points as opposed to the points against it such as:

"OMG 2142 is teh ghay"
"lolz its just a stupid mod"
"it has spyware omgz!! wont get it"
"there in-game addz on billboardz..this game sucks a$$"

etc.

I would say thats a bit more...'childish' than what I had to say. That at least makes up the majority of the 2142 "complaints" and I have gotten a tad annoyed by peoples completely ignorant statements about it. All they have to say is they don't like it. Because the gameplay maybe? Titan mode? Futuristic? etc. But to use completely stupid excuses to say you don't like the game - whats the point? Why do people care about games success so much? Its $50. Get over it.

Again, I don't even like the game much. Not my kind of game, but still appeals to many (obviously) Calling it a fanboy statement is a bit flawed apparently, for the fact that I don't even like the game. Do people really expect a GAMING COMPANY to add tons of new vehicles, weapons, effects, a new game mode, new unlock system, terrain, weather effects, changes to the squad system & commander system, changes to the HARD CODE from BF2, among other things to be free? (Not to mention from DICE :P)

BF2142 is still doing perfectly fine and it is always hilarious to come back here to find you guys still trying to destroy/boycott/badmouth it.

Last week there was about 350 servers and now this week there are about 450 servers; there is atleast 3 pages of filled up server with 32+players that I filter out at night time.

Funny all the fanatics went crazy about the ads and they never even showed up; in fact hey had a completely different use for it.
Funny also how they said it was just a mod yet all the mod developers around here say that BF2 is too restricting in its physics to get anything out of it.

Of course you could buy the game like my buddy did and find out that he didn't have a DVD drive to use it; hahahah but its ok I let him borrow one. Cant imagine other user errors that constantly go on.

lol no one complained this much when vietnam came out they said its not that great and they got on with there life.
Geeze get over it.

No they didn't, but Vietnam was a better, more fun game, IMHO. Also, another issue was that BF2 lacked support while all the DICE team were seemingly working on 2142, leaving BF2 in a poor state for months at a time. 1942 was already well supported, and most major issues were fixed by the time Vietnam came out.

I liked the control of the heli's in Bat Vet i must emit, more skill needed to fly well. Anyone ( and yes i know its a game) can fly BF2 planes and heli's with ease and little skill. J-10 i've got bored with. not impressed with high scores on it as its easy- too easy.

pop the same players in a good flight sim there lost as it needs thought.
bf1942 had some fantastic Dog fights unlike BF2.

Anyway i never bought 2142.

bf2142 still conflicting with X-Fire then?

X-Fire is the best messenger system for gamers. I love the way it pops up over your game without interfering with it. It allows friends and like minded players to come together and get in the same servers. It also provides a backup for when msn messenger is down during one of its many hissy fits

I didn't mean to imply you yourself are a fanboi. I meant that type of argument is generally used by fanbois if you go to any game board when someone complains about some part of the game there will likely be someone saying "well can you do better if not shut up"l like your not allowed to complain/have a opinion about something unless you yourself can make something better. I always find that argument fundamentally flawed and hypocritical because following that logic that person making the comment must then like everything he or she cannot them selfs make so basically they must like every piece of clothing unless they can create their own or like every car unless they can build there own etc. etc. it's just a stupid as hell argument that is just illogical, it was more a rant about that said comment then anything about 2142 lol I just don't like seeing that brought up ever as its so stupid lol
