I bunnyhop on accident sometime, I never really try to, I just jump when I see people shooting at me sometimes, and I normally die quicker because I jump, so I normally just try and stand there now, which freaks people out, because they expect prone instantly it seems.

I'm gonna let you guys into a little secret now, the server which has most of the rules is called =IE= which is the Ivoron Empire clan. If you are below 2ndLt and you want to destroy a clan then go there. I'm a little way from my next rank so I won't be able to go there soon but if you want to rack up a silly score then you won't go far wrong on there.

They are truly god awful.

I forgive every bunnyhopper in BF2. I also forgive the server rules, because its mostly done for creating immersion.

Lets face it, BF2 is a sh!tty infantry combat imitating game. Where people choose tactics, BF2 players choose fast movement, ultrafast stance change and firing back. There is probably NO game in the world, where a guy with the SAW gets owned at point blank range, after shooting 50 bullets into a player and only to notice that he hit d!ckall.

You have a game which ACTUALLY punishes you for tactical mistakes, and you get a tactical game. BF2 is nothing more than a modern looking UT or Quake version. Just that you wont see so many grenades in those games, and weapons are actually different and a lot cooler.

Newsflash, you can actually have a respetable game with a netcode that makes you miss a few hits, it wouldnt be a disaster. And you can make weapons actually great, without making them all into lazer cannons, or without making them all useless after youve fired 2 shots off...

Man, I play other games besides BF2, and its always so hilarious to read people present weapon stats to prove that one weapon is less sh!ttier than another. The people are fine, just that the system really blows.

If I switch kits in BF2, its out of frustration. If I switch gear in SWAT4, its because of increased functionality in certain scenario.

Then again this game is about vehicles, yet people were still crying for IO mode, for a game with the absolyte WORST infantry aspect... after BF2142.

The worse part about that rule is that most servers that have such rules like no bunny hoping/dolphin diving, is that the admins usually pull that kind of ****. As soon as you do it, you're kicked. I was playing in a clann server not too long ago and got kicked (without warning) because I dolphin dove to kill an admin. The truth was that I hadn't realised that I did a dolphin dive. When there's 20 people nade spamming and the other 20 trying to kill you, you tend not to always notice what you do to stay alive. So I went back in the server, saw the same admin near the train tracks(Karkand), went prone and killed him with my PKM. I get kicked again... This time he claims that he saw me dolphin diving, even though he was facing the other way.

Long story short, too many admins are assholes.

Haha! Now I've seen it all! Kicked for bunnyhopping -> let's report those bastars!

And yes, it is against so called "ROE". Not that matters, because server owners do what they want, not what YOU want. And what ever you do or say, admins are always right. If you already have "admins are assholes" attitude when you join a server you'll most likely find it true. If you go and talk to them, play with them and know them all by name on your regular server, they usually treat you much better.

And Chris, BF2 engine is capable of tactical playing, BF2 as a mod is just made to be as easy as possible. Actually 2142 is screaming someone to create a tactical mod with modern forces, it could be huge success.

Seven, I deliberately left mods out. I was talking about the vanilla.

There is oh so much potential in this engine and lucky players, its been all used. Then again, they arent really that popular which is a shame.

I think different servers having different rules creates a better, more rounded gaming experience as all players are different and this allows different servers to cater for different player needs.

However some servers have ridiculous rulings! i.e.

No Snipers
No clays
No Nade spamming (at what stage does it become spamming?)
Make Queues for Planes/Tanks!!!! (The image alone of players queueing up on the Essex, patiently waiting there turn is one i would actually find amusing to see)
No vehicles (they don't seem to be aware of the IO option)
No killing admins (ok haven't seen that one in writing but have seen it enforced:) )

...and lots of others.

the way i see it, it's there server so let them run it the way they want. if you don't like it go to another server or rent your own. if i rented a server you better believe it would be run the way i wanted it to be. i sure as hell wouldn't pay for a server that i couldn't set the rules.

the way i see it, it's the cry babys that complain when they get kicked for braking the rules. not the people renting the servers.

ps; i'll throw the first stone :) i've never BH, DD or anything like that.

No bunnyhopping : what it really means....
If a Admin/Clanner is trying to kill you and you hop, then its bad...other then that they and you can do it to other pubbers/guest clans.

Worse rules Ive seen is no GL. I actually was kicked for it since I GL killed a Admin trying to Jihad clay me.
