I hate having to compensate for the messed up Ironsights on the MG36. They're far worse than the RPK, or the PKM are, and you get very little return for all your effort.
It's a bad gun overall.
You shouldn't use iron sights for any of the support guns. They all get a deviation mod when zoomed of 1. Just go prone and let 'er rip (in short bursts).
Honestly, I do not even notice the messed up iron sights, I just aim near the midsection on burst mode, and click twice, so 6 shots, and 9/10 times, they die right there.
On another note, I always use the iron sights with it, unless the guy runs around the corner and I have to shoot quick.
support guns all depend on how much you use it. ill go on streaks where i only play with mg36 or only pkm. and i must say that ive only used the rpk once

Completely false, you have to have skill to use all the support guns, and you have to aim them all. I personally hate the RPK's style, it is just...primitive. Saying having skill and good aim makes the MG36 obsolete, is like saying that using the G36e takes no skill.
Now, the G36e to me, takes a lot more skill to use, as you need precise aim, you cant just start sending bursts in the general direction of you target, I know this and admit it, because I absolutely suck with the G36e. I cant kill anybody with it most of the time, as it is a finesse weapon, and I like my guns more like the AK 101, raw power.
This contrasts with my like for the MG36, because it is also a finesse weapon, you cannot just spray away with it, as you are suggesting. If you do that, you will waste hundreds of rounds of ammo, and even though that is not that big of a deal as you have unlimited, it is if you burn through a whole drum, and someone walks around the corner.
Personally I like the RPK-74. It's a nice blend of all the guns into the most workable solution.
The PKM is good for a wide variety of roles, but one thing it actually sucks at is supressive fire. It overheats or runs out of ammo way too quickly. However it is the only MG (IIRC) that can shoot through barriers. Always useful :)
The SAW is good, but overheats too fast IMHO.
The MG36 is a saw on sterioids. It has a decent capacity, it doesn't overheat too fast, it's got nice accuracy even when on full auto, and it fires relatively fast. It's a great gun for supressing with.
Personally when I'm MEC I'll use the RPK. When I'm USMC I'll use the SAW for humiliation kills, the G36 for a jack of all trades and the PKM on certain maps (Mashtuur springs to mind. All those fences around flags = free kills)
As Chinese I'll use the Type 98 (Is that right?) just for the hell of it, or the PKM.Those longer ranges Chinese maps need the long ranged accuracy of the PKM. It overshadows the MG36's ability by hitting harder in the small space of time you have to shoot.
