Well, a couple of weeks ago, there was a thread about the LMG's in this game, so I stated my opinion, that the PKM was the best choice. My reasons were mainly, the damage, and the fact that it helped to have the same gun for all armies.
Well, somebody came up with the argument that the MG36 was better, which I refuted to no end. I had not unlocked it yet, I said, but I had used it a few times, from picking it up. And I stood by my word that it sucked complete butt.
Then, I unlocked it tonight, upon hitting first sergeant, and I must say, I was completely blown away after about 5 minutes with it. The thing is an absolutely devastating weapon on burst....I was playing on IO, and after I started using it, I went 45-3, and I got a gold and a bronze. I must say, it is a beastly weapon.
Anyway, my point is, I love the MG36, and I don't think I will ever use another support gun, as I like to keep a standard for all armies...the PKM can go sit on its thumb and spin for all I care.
