The only new fix in 1.41 over 1.4 was for a server crash.

And you acctualy thought it did? the patch will always have bugs and glitches BF2 will never get FUlly FIXED.

I still love it after a year. There's so much variety in the game. If you get bored of one type of game play, join a server that has another

IO has put a whole new twist on things too. Maps in IO are so much different now.

yeah i like how BF2 has so many sides to it...

u can go squad leader.....and lead ur group from CP to CP setting markers and requesting supplies arty, uav etc....acting as a mobile spawnpoint...close to the action but not frontline...

u can go squad member.....stick with ur lil group from CP to CP...following orders, and providing cover for ur squadmates and squad leader...advancing as a unit...

u can go commander....almost like an RTS u can give orders to all the squads...place artillery, supplies, vehicles....u can zoom in anywhere and spot ppl near CPs or squads....

or u can lone wolf......splintering off from your whole team, as a single unit....more exciting when you're by yourself...no one to help u out....or get in ur way

then theres the vehicles.....like attack chopper, and jet....flying around and blowing everything ta bits....

then theres armor.....tanks APCs mobile AAs....etc.....

and yeah, now IO mode adds some more variety...

there is so much here its kinda hard to believe ppl have mastered every aspect of every aspect, role, kit, vehicle, map, etc to the point they tire of it and quit....

yeah i think its worth it.....(especially PRM)

Ah Stilla, I was wondering where you disappeared too. Well, BF2 is about the same for the most part. But as someone mentioned, part of the field has changed because a dimension of the players left to go to 2142. At times, I feel more challenged now on the servers I frequent then before 2142. I have a feeling the same thing is going to happen with QWs. You will see a large exodus to QW.

Funny thing though, a lot of the great players from Quake that have been sitting BF2 out for WoW might show back up...meaning there could be a good spread of players.

ive only had a couple, but ive seen tons of people complaining about a ton of them......or were you sarcastic?

no im not being sarcastic. ive not had a single ctd since that join button one. the ones that say they have a tonne of ctd's and blame the game just have ****ty pc's :laugh:

well depends, see how the patch will work for you, for me its the worst patch ever but some people dont have problems with it

That was 1.4 which was supposed to cure the horribleness of 1.3

DON'T get me started one 1.3 i almost NEVER started BF2 beacsue of it, i got bf2 in the time bettween 1.3 and 1.4.

I thought it was MY computer that was randomly crashing i almost just said "you know what screw it" but then 1.4 saved me and i found out it was 1.3 and not my comp.

1.4 stopped ALOT of ppl from leaving bf2 and i will always be happy for its realease.

I stopped playing bf2 when bf2142 came out and yes i am tired of 2142 already. So my question is is BF2 worth coming back to. Has anything changed since ive been gone. Is it still fun to play or is it running rampant with hacks.

There's not too many hackers on bf2 rarely see one and bf2 IS worth comin back to ^^

I gave 2142 a shot, I really did. If only in defiance of all those pissy ZOMG boycott teh 2142 whingers. It's a big confusing mess to me, but I understand why people stick with it. It's just not for me, which doesn't neccesarily mean it's a bad game. On the contrary, I'd like the game if it was made a few years down the line with an entirely new engine.

People who deny the overwhelming awesomeness of BF2 are either weakling Maroon 5 fans or transvestites. Of course it's worth coming back.

I had like 3 CTD's and they were all within a week of installing the patch.. haven't had one since.


BF2C pretty much renewed the game for me though.
