well most of the good movie makers visit this section almost daily, and if you are asking for the BEST music for a movie, im pretty sure youll wont have any luck, even asking for good music is hard, because they want to keep it for themselfs, but ill give you a few advices:

Check out The Prodigy, they have awesome songs that you can use
Most of the music in good movies are from Soundtracks from actual movies, so if you have seen a movie and liked a few songs, search the album on google, and buy the cd or download it

You won't have a problem finding music selections here. I don't know of any movie maker that wouldn't share their music list. Most already have the music selections they used in the end credits.
Hans Zimmer is a popular one, but more and more movie makers are starting to make their own.
The soon to be released Sand of Fire and Faith, Hope and Charity (IL-2 movie) are two examples of soon to be released blockbuster movies that will be using original soundtracks.
Other examples are Edge of Remorse (WOW) and Only the Strong Survive (Max Payne 2) that have original music by Scott Buckley.

More and more are making their own now.

ummm... One that goes through missions briefly then shows a full mission.
Missions from 1942 then vietnam then 1990's and 2008.
Kinda hard to explain what i'm thinking.

The only song you should use is "Boom" by P.O.D. Everything else is lame and unoriginal.

Music depends on the type of movie. Also, stay clear of over used music. I'm pretty tired of Linkin Park and Rammstein.

Songs like Dinner Is Served, and The Kraken by Hans Zimmer are perfect for intro! :)
