I have said this in numerous posts but I say it again. Reinstall ur game. I had just the same symptoms and it seemed to get worse every day. I was absolutelly sure my GPU is going to say bye bye. Then I had just one option left, the one which almost always cures BF2 problems.

Reinstall!

My fps was something like 20-30 after patching old installation to 1.41. After uninstall and reinstall steady 60-70 with fully populated 64 server in other case more like 100 fps. Not a single CTD nor connection problem after that.

I installed Original BF2 and then straight 1.41, nothing else. Later when I need some variation again, I'll put SF, EF and AF back.

Getting more CTD's at round starts and random connection problem that lasts maybe 3-5 seconds and it happens about 5 times per round on every server I play on.

Yup thats always fixed my probs most of the time, will probably be doing it soon. Just HATE to.

try defraging hard drive maby sounds like a slow comp but i dunno

Don't post things like this without providing all the information concerning it. Just entering a random setting can actually make it a LOT worse. You have to know what and why you are doing something that changes setting like this.

well I always played my game on max and never had these problems, I will try reinstalling, theres another weird thing tho, my graphics would sometimes look werid, it would look like Im playing the game on low or something but it would come back to normal after restarting the game, well i heard that command above helped some people but cmon, do I really need to go through that, my game should be working fine without that

alot of weird suff going on

I see a tank and I run behind a wall while looking at him, he gets out of my view(I cant see him anymore and that means he cant see me either)

but he still shoots me with his canon, I get this alot, next people with pings over 200 own these days, a guy with a ping of 210 or something hit my chopper while I was in a barrel roll, alot of times I hit a guy with the gun but nothing happens, am I the only one, I have a feeling my game isnt showing me whats really going on in the server, it feels like everything else is moving faster then me, maybe thats the reason why I cant hit **** with TVs anymore, my ping is usually around 60
