Which weapon are you using? M16, G36E or L85? That can make a world of difference right there.

The Medic Kit can actually hold its own pretty well in a firefight, and that's not even counting the ability to self-heal yourself, but I wouldn't call myself much of an expert with this class.

Tip 1: throw down medic packs when you know you're about to engage an enemy, so that if you are hit, you'll self-heal instantly and give yourself the advantage for the win.

If you want quick easy points, revive any fallen team mate. But if you want even more points, kill who ever killed them first, then revive. Or you can either wait until that person passes, revive, the shoot the guy in the back.

I would strive for a high revive to death with defibrillator ratio. To do this, follow the tips above.

That is typical tip for medic point whore^. Don't be a point whore. Be smart. Since you don't have any unlocks and die quite often, don't go into middle of fights. Stay away, learn paths which enemy is using to access to flags. Try to surround enemy. Medic M16 has 3 round burst, don't engage enemies in close combat, keep moderate distance. In long distance fights switch to single fire. Join squads, 3+ ppl in squad is the best for you (with other medics in them). Keep other medics and squad leaders alive, mainly in your squad. Answer to medic requests, even if that requests are not directly in your path. Use/request orders and follow them.
          To sum it up:
          - learn your surroundings
          - learn your enemy
          - learn your inventory

          Have fun :)

Squad up is the most important thing to start with. Being on a squad as a medic you're a major help to your squad, you can pretty much keep everyone alive.

Don't get yourself in the direct line of fire, let other members of your squad like assault or support handle that for the most part because if you're dead, you can't revive your team mates when they fall.

Also if you're dead and your squad leader gets hit, no one else can spawn there. So keeping your *** alive is one of the more important things along with making sure everyone else is alive too.

Try to take cover during fire fights, try to be the covering fire instead of the infantry men running after the enemy soldiers. Basicaly do what you can to keep yourself out of harms way directly. Keep everyone revived and make sure everyone stays up on health and that's pretty much it.

And please please please dont revive someone infront of a tank or apc thats sooo damn annoying.

predicting where and when to have med packs laying around is vital, always stay at full health. any gay sniper can land a lucky shot and finish you off if your short 2 bars. if your about to engage an enemy you can throw a medpack or two down. that way you will heal as soon as you get hit by bullets

Good advice for the most part. Because there are people who play as things other than medics, it's best to let them do the dying and stay back so you can revive if needed if you are pubbing with a squad. What's funny, though, is that the best squad is a squad full of medics. Five of the six can die in an assault and they will all be back up in seconds. They are more combat-capable than all the other classes, with their assault rifles and grenades, with self-healing, reviving, and med-pack throwing. If armor shows up, the squad leader hides and people should respawn AT temporarily.

The best thing you can do for yourself as a medic is learn the assault rifles and advanced individual combat tactics: know where you're going to aim before you expose yourself, always know where every enemy is or might be so you can move accordingly, and try to give yourself a medpack before engaging so the first hit you take is free. Find me on xfire as sterexx if you'd like any more advice. :)

That, too, actually. Throw at red dots on the UAV, a flag going up or down in the wrong direction, or at an enemy you are engaging in medium-to-medium-long range fire with. In the case of the latter: throw, duck away, then check back in a second and shoot at your running-away enemy or see him explode.

Yeah that's pretty inconsistent on the part of the programmers. I would suggest aiming for the mid-high chest area, as you are more likely to get a hit than aiming at the head due to uncontrollable random deviation, even on single shots.

The ak 101 is a very good weapon, long and short distance
                          The unlocks are fine.
And constantly look around for players who needs you, revive heal
Trow some medic packs around on your way to...
Good for you on for those who are hurt!

Whore out those paddles, lol. When i play medic, i play it smart. I dont just run out and start healing, that means know your surroundings. But if you just want point...
                            clear, ok your alright
                            clear, ok your alright

AK101 best medic weapon i believe, follow by the G36(sometimes), and the M16 and then the L85. But i dunno somedays i can play better with one, and the next day i can play better with an oposite weapon.

Another thing to keep in mind is that as realistic as this game's context is, the game is extremely arcade-like and to play your best you should treat it as such. Project Reality is a fantastic mod for limited-movement, high-damage, high-accuracy, high-stealth gameplay, and that's really fun. The thing is, in vanilla BF2, (1) you can see where the enemies are with the UAV and spotting, (2) jumping takes off little stamina so that repeated wild jumping maneuvers are possible for high mobility while being hard to hit, (3) and guns do relatively little damage, shots don't register all the time, and are pretty inaccurate and random, making guaranteed kills possible at close range only.

The design of this game leads to fairly simple conclusions about how to get the most kills with fewest deaths. Pick battles you can win using the UAV. Know where your enemies are before you expose yourself - spend all of your death-time looking at the minimap, and half of your alive-time, too. Awareness is essential. If you are getting shot at and are not already looking at your enemy due to a hole in your awareness, it's usually best to jump and run away into cover to heal. Most battles you will win by being close up to an enemy and having superior position and cover, or getting the jump on him.
