The mg36 is rad at mowing people down. I find it more accurate for longer bursts and the high rate of fire puts people down fast, not to mention the ability to kneel and shoot accurately which makes you mobile and less likely to get caught with the stupid fire delay when getting up from prone.

aim the best you can, and use short bursts ..repeat rapidly. Only in really close range can you get away with longer bursts.

Oh, and compared to the PKM, the MG sucks...just my opinion.

The MG36 is suppose to be an attribute-mixture of the SAW and the PKM:

When the saw has a lot higher ROF than the PKM, more accurate and its range is slightly higher, the PKM has an extremely deadly punch though it's less accurate / rank / ROF etc.
The MG36 is a bit less accurate than the SAW but more then the PKM, lower ROF than the SAW and higher than PKM, more punch than the SAW but less than the PKM.
So it's some kind of an answer for the players that don't get along with the PKM / SAW.

I love the MG36. The RPK owns all the LMGs hands down, though.

MG36 has the slowest accuracy bloom when firing a long burst so its the best for close quarters, if you can be bothered with the 3 round burst its good for long range IF you know where to aim. Just like people said earlier it ain't at the top of the front sight its down a notch, you'll have the front sight pretty much covering up the enemy to the tip of his head (if he's standing).

I hate it! Maybe i am not using it properly but i can easily get a 4:1 KD with the RPK and PKM but the MG36 is another story. RPK is the best gun in the game after the AK-101 IMHO. Get good with the defaults and it will seriously improve your game. There is no unlock that is better than the defaulkt in this game apart from the G36E on USMC and DAO on USMC, apart from that Defaults FTW!!

nah MP5 is awesome!

i do quite well with the stock weapons, but i do love the MG-36 for US and PLA and the L96 for all armies.

But the M16 is immense on semi at range, was getting loads of kills yesterday on a IO server with teh M16, 194 points i think in the end

Thanks for all the input guys. Nice to see that everyone has such varied opinions. That is what makes us different after all. I think ill give the MG36 another shot,(pun not intended) if all doesnt go too well i know i have the PKM waiting for me:)

I completely agree with this. RPK is the king MG36 is also a great gun, both fires in rapid pace and that makes em perfect for mowing domn running enemies.

Never ever use iron sights if you can see your target well.

I don't think you can say that about a LMG, but the MG is more accurate than the PKM + and American solder walking arround with a PKM makes him look like an Iraqi.

I second that.

I think it can be good to use in the palace at Warlord. But at long range it's rubbish. And if you try to use it for supressing fire it overheats to quickly. Love it at Warlord tho.
