Re: 100% view, which map is best?

i have been involved in modding this game almost since it came out, so i do kinda know how the game works.

and i know this: there are 2 ways of hitting something outside of the view distance. (i.e. that you cannot see.)

    1. luck - which was my first assumption, was it not?

    2. a hack/3rd party program - which i would hope it was not.

if you say there was no luck involved, then it was clearly the latter.

even if it was staged, which it probably was - there would still have been a HUGE amount of luck involved to hit something at that distance and OUT OF VISUAL RANGE.

and what's this about 'World Records'??

it's a GAME. world records do not exist...

Dude I dont really care for your arguments anymore because frankly they are irrelevant. Even if you have been modding (?) which basicly has to do fukc all with this whole argument. You probably still live in denial about pixel aiming as well from one side of the map to the other.

I know some of these guys and none of them use 3rd party programs.
None of this was staged because of the simple reason they will lose face if it ever came out. Plus in most cases they play in tandems or more so they allways have this stuff confirmed by another guy.

The world record thing started when they landed hits over 500 meters. Something which didnt happen before that point. They are entitled to the claim if they want. They are not like some of the rampant ego's in this game but just some guys that like to out do the other snipers in that group. Its all in good sportmanship.

I am not a bad sniper myself but they are just better at the long range stuff. I have no problem with saying it but apparently some wannabees and whiners here have. Again that isnt really my problem but yours. If you have a problem with that you either take it up with them or hold your breath.

There is a very valid question.

How do you kill someone who is out of your range? Youre basically shooting blind.

        A) Pixel aiming at a certain STA site or TOW site, or even a MG site.
        B) No fog hack

          exactly.

but the no fog hack would have to increase the actual view distance, as it is usually set to the fade out distance of the fog.

i bet even the people that made these shots will admit it was a lucky shot.

anyone that argues against these without a REAL answer is blatantly hiding something.

Too bad you have a limited view on this subject. If it extends irl you probably wont learn much in the future either.
These guys are legit, they have skill (no luck involved) and I have no hidden agenda. But if you want to cry conspiracy go ahead. It would just make you another douche in my book.
Last post by my hand in this tedious thread. Have it.

it's not that i have a limited view, or that i doubt the skill of sniper players in this game.

all i am saying is that NOONE CAN HIT A TARGET THAT THEY CANNOT SEE AND CALL IT SKILL.

anyone that says otherwise is a) a liar or b) a hacker or c) a mix of both.

by running away i guess it is up to the members of this forum to decide which category you fall in.

How do you guys know the exact meters of kills on the map, lol?

Jemme, before you fall into tears and all, do please some actual work and explain how you can snipe people, even though you cant see them and actually convince anyone that there was no anomalies involved? Luck, hack, pixel shot et cetera.

640 metre shot can be done by shooting at a target which moves directly out of your field of view at a predictable angle, however youre still relying on LUCK. And thats my take on it.

You on the other hand have only cried and tried to convince people that snipers kill people they dont see and they dont use pixel aiming, luck, hacks while doing so. Pardon, but youre doing a bad job convincing anyone.

I think If a commander spots them, they determine the distance, bulletdrop etc.
                    Cant call 100% total luck.

i understand what you're saying, but:

i think you're missing the point that they are completely out of sight - all the shooter can see is the grey/black surround of the map, so are shooting completely blind.

                      i'm not saying 100% luck - just a great percentage of luck:skill.

Yeah ofcourse, there is luck involved. Im just pointing out that these snipers do know their maps, bulletdrop and stuff I guess.

I've shot guys just ouside the fogs reach, not sure on the distance but I've done it on almost every map I believe. It's really not that hard either, It starts when you see a guy inside the view distance (capping a flag etc..) and you follow him just outta view. At that point you can't see him anymore BUT if you un-zoom your scope and look at that area with the far edges of your screen he is back in view. Take a note of where he is (takes some practice) and fire. If he is running dont even bother, only shoot if he is prone. Another thing that helps shooting out of fog distance is once you have your crosshairs almost on him his red tag will appear. I'm not saying it doesn't take luck......just that it takes skill.

speculating that it was hacks/luck is just as valid as speculating it was skill...

                            speculation however is just speculation

Well I'm the "dude" who did that 513m shot on Dalian. As I mentioned in my post about it, I couldn't actually see that fellow. In my screen he was not rendered at all, the thing I saw was a jeep where he was gunning our helicopter. I could see the bullet spray hiting flying helo. That's how I did know where he was. I took one shot first, trying to hit the car. My intention was to find corret elevation to hit my target without scaring him. My first estimation was correct and that shot hit the car. With the second shot I took the gunner in my line of aim and used that approximation of elevation with him also. I don't know was it a head shot or was he already taken some damage but I killed him.

As said by some, it was a lucky shot. But it also combined with my experience gained with sniper rifles. I kill any of you standing still anywhere I can see you with an ease, but I admit that it was more luck than skill because it was made by guessing.

It's quite futile record of mine, no use for such skill most of the time but it's kinda cool to get someone without him ever getting a chance to know from where :)

Constantly spot randomly or known sniper spots, like in the video, pick something up and then open the map to see roughly where the target is, then use the look-down-see-further-top-of-screen thing to try and actually see the other sniper and then just guestimate where the other guy is.....

Take Warlord, you can be looking the the TV station and not be able to see it, look down and it appears at the top of your screen and you can see if there is anyone up there, guestimate where they'll be when you look straight at it and fire off a few, alot of luck but a some skill is needed..
