I do a series of Immelmann turns while in rear view, using afterburner. Usually after two I'll complete the loop, going straight down at full speed while rolling, then at a random time I'll pull up. If the chaser is facing a different direction than I am when they pull up, they will be headed in a different direction. They usually aren't behind me any more.

I see Blades has replied but still this pushed me into the direction of how to evade attackers. But I don't use it a lot I now improvise on what my enemy is doing since I want to get him out of my sight.

                  Re: Need piloting advice..

#1. Get a Joystick. You can't compete vs. Top pilots with a keyboard and mouse. Period. Don't argue. You're wrong.

#2. This is an extremely broad question. Every tactical situation is different. There is no set of manuevers to go through that will guarantee survival.

#3. When I'm flying, my question is always how good are my opponents? If the answer is average, I will frequently ignore them (assuming I'm in F35 and they're in J10s) and bomb the other team back to the stone-age. It's more useful to have an incompetent pilot up than get +2 points +1 kill and let an excellent pilot up when the jet respawns. Whenever a J10 tries to engage me I will hop into fly-by mode and out manuever them. Most pilots don't use this mode and consequently can't keep up with me when i'm piloting.

#4. When the opponent is good, I will constantly engage them with missiles to keep them from bombing/strafing our troops and pick off helicopters/ground targets when it's appropriate. Will shoot them down eventually but will probably take a while.

#5. When the oppoent is excellent, I will go into stealth mode and constantly trail enemy J10s until they fly straight for a bombing run/helicopter attack and will gun them down with my cannon.

#6. Stay it with me again, "Get a joystick."

#7. On the topic of manuevers, remember that the F35 dominates at high altitudes. Try to make sure every evasion manuver you make gets you elevation.

#8. When you get locked onto by the enemy J10 (which means you weren't paying attention to your six and you deserver to get shot down), go into rear-view and watch for the incoming missiles. Turn hard and pop flairs at the absolute last second before they hit your jet. Most J10 pilots will pop off some shots and watch to see if you flair. If they don't see flairs immediately they will break off engagement and assume their missiles are going to be hits.

                    Not always the case..

Sometimes I pull right in front of a J-10 on accident and they just spam missles at me.

Most of the time when that happens I have no flares or afterburner.

You are going wrong already.. Every time I see someone who is on my tail which happens sometimes he mostly uses keyboard so I go down up go to the right all kinds of twists and turns whilst he is constantly dragging his mouse all over and re-positioning it.

Not every dogfight lasts for thirty seconds on Wake.

Just be alert and don't let anybody come on your tail it's the best thing to never have anybody on your tail. Fly high and look where your opponent might be heading. Where would you fly too? I mostly look at ranks to indicate the level of skill but this doesn't always goes up.

Just my thoughts on this how I fly. If you don't think it'll work ok, but it works for me.

I mostly do a upwards flare strike depends on the situation. I re-use them since I fly trough them for a second time. Really helps when being chased by a J-10.

My longest dogfight had to be at least 10 minutes evading some dude in the Mig on Oman. I shot him down in the end, when we were up around 900. Pretty ****ing intense.

Man, when I fly a MiG against F35B, they usually dont last that long, and then I feel sad for the poor bastard in the aerial dragster.

Its always a pleasure to have a long fight, but that seems to happen when one persons lower skill level is balanced with a good jet. No offense here, just an observation.
