try to use the semi-auto mode. You're much more accurate that way.

Does using semi-auto change the weapon stats/deviation etc? What I mean is, if I was using the rifle (on auto) and fired 1 bullet every second, and I then changed it to semi-auto and fired 1 bullet every second, would the single shot be more accurate purely because its in single shot mode?

Although Zahir knows BF2 well; from what I've heard, the numbers change when in semi-auto. Firing a round a second after another in semi-auto is more accurate because it believes it to be the first shot. Just aim and click-click-click. Make a good base for yourself - crouch and zoom.

Most importantly - Give em hell.

Call semi-auto an effective placebo - it works for me.

Firing plus a quick reset in sem-auto seems more accurate than bursting in full auto.

Go into a game set it to semi fir 3 shots at a wall, the set it to full and do the same. The same thing is gunna happen either way, granted you're not using bursts but actually clicking the single shots out. If something else happens, I'll give you a e-cookie.

Consider..

Change the Crounch key to C so you can move with your other keys while crouch

Change prone to F, this makes it easier to go prone quicker because it is closer to the movement keys. However i dont like this because im into cracy infrantry kills, with it set as Z you can jump, turn while in the air and go prone. Whilst with prone set as F, you cannot.
This is useful for jumping round low walls.

One other tip for sniping which i still need to try is, to set a second button on keyboard as you "shoot" button. Use this so it does not effect your shot when you shoot. Because apparently to some people when you click your mouse it affects your shot slightly.

Also if you know an enermy is coming be prepared to defend, defenders have advantage over attacks because they lie already prone, while an attack has to adjust to the circumstance before reacting.

depends on wepon and kit cause some kits have armour and some dont and some guns are WAY more powerful then others

Well, I see no reason to not go prone...Why the hell would I just stand there and get shot?!?! Just drop down...look through the sights and hit head chest area....it takes time to get good at the game

always squad up and stick with your squad (spawn on the green dot), you will survive longer as you will get revived when you go down and have back up when in firefights + you can see how other experienced players go about.

stay in close distance of cover

also note that when you get a hit on someone it will signal it by flashing star thing. so if you dont see that signal it means you havent hit your enemy.

Ok, I'm new to BF2 but it seems like I'm doing very little damage to other players yet I'm getting killed with like one shot. Yet, it seems like I've gotta hit another player like a million times for them to die.... any help?
