It's pretty immmature to TK someone for a vehcile, just because you didnt get it.

You say that you were standing there first, so you should get it. What if the guy that comes up after you had it first and got blown up. Shouldn't he be entitled to it because he originally had it? Or are you going to make the excuse that he's had his shot, now it's yours? Sounds to me like you just want the vehicle, dont give a **** about your team, and will lower yourself the depths of kiddy gamers just to get what you want, **** the rest of the team right? Winning a vehicle is like winning lottery. Damn I wish your excuse would hold out " I was the first one to buy a ticket, so I deserve the money"

The only time I TK for vehicles is if I've just seen the guy do it to someone else first. I was playing Wake the other day, waiting for the Blackhawk. This guy was waiting for the jet, someone else runs up behinds him and TK's him just as the jet spawns. So I send an AT up the jets *** as soon as he gets in. Thats the only fair TK I believe.

I don't like taking turns so I don't expect people to let me have a go, but if they are wasting the vehicle by not using it as well as I would, I WILL certainly TK for it.

        NOT!!!!!!

Waiting your turn is the right thing to do. End of story. If you don't do it, don't be surprised when you get TK'd just because you know the "secret" to getting a vehicle ahead of the guy who was there first.
Gee, that was a nice and well thought out rebuttal. So if I understand you correctly, you excpect to wait around all round untill whoever is flying dies, then you expect them to just allow you to take it because you were waiting? Please, uninstall your game and do everyone a favor. It's people like you that cause the total lack of teamplay because, hell, you were waiting for a jet and it's your turn next.

I'm pretty tired of people stealing vehicles, team ramming, tw/tking, team arty and generally being dbags.

That's why I'm totally okay with tking now. Honestly... it doesn't take too much now for me to frag someone. I just know there will be another a$$hole teammate to come along so I might as well keep killing them.

          Alot of people are surprised.

There is another side to this, you know.
If you get on a server in the middle of a round you should check the score. If your team is winning there is a reason why. Usually many reasons. Most people dont even think about these reasons so Im going to list some of them now. First, even if you dont care about team play you should know that you will score more points if you dont die. Working with the rest of the team will keep you alive longer. Next, everyone has a job they are doing and its working. Dont jump in the nearest vehicle just because its there. The one or two guys doing the aircraft or armor are doing a good job, thats part of the reason thier team is winning, dont mess it up.
While Im on this subject, if you start the round in armor or aircraft dont suddenly decide that you dont want to do it anymore and leave the armor or aircraft unattended. I cant tell you how many rounds Ive played and my team had no armor because the guy who took it the first 90 seconds decided he wanted to do something else, left the armor unattended and the other team stole it. Most skilled players will find where they can do the most this round on this team, in armor, in aircraft, or on foot and do the best they can. They also expect to get support from the other players on thier team, even if they are on foot. Remember do your part, whatever it is.
Back to the TK deal. I know there are times that you have to TK people, anyone who says there isnt, hasnt played enough to see this. I have TKed people and will do it again. My three reasons for the latest ones were this. The first one was a guy who TKed my teams commander and was about to C-4 him again so I shot him. The second was a guy who was working with a guy from the other team doing the knife and revive thing. So I escaped from them and knifed them both. The third was a guy who jumped infront of the APC I was in. I stopped the APC and backed up before I ran him over, he followed me. Since I couldnt get around him, I ran him over. Dont get the wrong Idea, I dont TK for fun. A TK should be -4 points. There are times when the -4 points are nothing or just a part of what you have to deal with. See you can post on a thread, have a different Idea and not Flame anyone. There. . . . . . . .Red

Good question, was this age old problem going to be solved anyway?

I thought about this thread when I was playing an hour ago. This guy kept on grabbing the chopper and foobing it... so I killed him. As he was getting ready to take off,I launched a grenade into the cockpit.

It bounced around by his legs and I smiled at his profound .

I don't care who has been waiting or for how long, if I want the vehicle, I'm gunna get it. If I don't get it, nobody else does.

The first person to get the vehicle should keep it for the entire round

this could be debated on planes and helis
but for apcs and tanks i feel that waiting turns is a very bad idea.

for example i will start the round as a medic in apc
my team spawns on me as anti tankers and enginers.
we may need several trys to get to our goal of securing a key base or the back main base of the enemy.
if we spawn back at our main and someone is "waiting " for the apc they just wasted time they could have been out in the field helping the team out.if there are several people waiting in a line we have a major teamplay problem.
all those guys need to be fighting not bickering about who gets the armour.go cap the enemys main and there will be 2x as many vehicles.

on the same note if you do decide that the stratagy needs to go on foot for your squad inform the commander that there is a free tank/apc for another squad.
or ask for repairs and drive the vehicle to the nearest engy and abandon it as you spam get in a few times works like a charm :)

the harsh reality is that the people who load fastest will generally get the vehicles right after a map change.

think about it if the makers wanted us to take turns they would have set the default times for spawning as longer then the vehicles.
the game is set up so you can get back to your tank apc just before it spawns for a reason..

well first come first server is my rule so id have to say that you should just play on a smaller server unless you know youll get the apc/tank in a big one with tank whores

Its because everyone feels that they can do the job better than the guy before them, which is usually BS. Before I wait for a jet, I first check the tickets to see how much game time has passed, then I check the scores of the current jet pilots, and then I check their placement on the map, and see how many are left. If their score sucks, and if they are just flying around like a retard, then I start waiting.

                            To the OP:

Technically, an "eye for an eye" would be to take the vehicle from them all the time, not tk them

"e-wars" are part of the game as EA/Dice designed it, if you are incapable of learning how to win the "e-war" you probably don't have the prerequisite "skill" necessary to properly utilize the teams most valueable assets (vehicles) anyway

I personally like the way it is now. I play video games for fun. I like being able to fly a plane and then two minutes later be rolling through a forest in an APC. Just because I was the first one to win the rush to the plane doesn't mean I should be stuck with it for the rest of the round. What you're suggesting sounds to much like real life, like jobs and stuff.

Someone feel free to re-word that so that it makes sense, its 3.20AM and I'm really tired and can't think straight!
