Ok.....but those missiles came from a long way away which enabled some sort of early warning due to radar. The arty in BF2 is 155mm shells which probably dont show on radar and unless you see it fired the first warning you will get is when it lands on your head 15 secs later

lol... hees another example. when hezbollah fired rockeets into israel, the sirens rang off 30 seconds untill impact, so they needed to find a bomb shelter.

It wouldn't be good for gameplay. In Company Of Heroes, flares rain down before a strike, and you have 2 seconds to run like a mofo before you get blown into little tiny pieces. But that's an RTS game.

I agree with mario though, it isn’t going to happen :p
Yeah that is quite obvious but even in plane desert with no safe, it seems that I may survive in the middle of the fire but when trying to run I tend to finds that last shell coming

Has any of you figured out what is the logic of dropping arty. It forms a kind of flower pattern leaving center almost intact but sometimes it seems that it will hit left where I point it, other days it may be right. I haven't been too much a commander but could be nice to know if there is some rules how the shells hit.

perhaps just a siren for your team? might stop all the idiots walking into the big red circle of doom

                    Re: Artillery Siren?

I can hear when the enemy Arty fires so why would I need a siren?

What I do need is something more obvious then the minimap that friendly arty is coming down.
