    Artillery Siren?

As usual i always have these little suggestions, anyways I think it would be cool and realistic to have Sirens go off when the enemy's artiller has fired. it would give a warning to nearby players that artillery is coming and the sound is realistic because if you remember in March 2003 Baghdads sirens were going off or even in Damascus in 1973 sirens went off when planes went near the city. I just thought it would be cool to hear the siren noise makes it feel more like war :) what yall think? any suggestions to this?

yah i know but the siren doesnt go off untill like 5-10 seconds before the artillery comes. so it helps but if your in the middle of no where your screwed.

mmmm, The screech as you hear the round coming down towards you is enough of a warning TBH.

Arty is not in planes planes you can see arty you cannot thats why is so deadly in battle so it would be far from realistic

            Re: Artillery Siren?

My experience about incoming arty is a bit opposite. If I get into artillery fire, I just stay put. My opinion is that running increases death propability. So many times I have preserved almost intact in the middle of bombardment while almost every time I tried to escape it by running I got killed. So in my case (if) when sirens go off I drag my a s s to nearest hole around me.

Ace that probably is because to move from a position you will have to move out of any cover and usually into the open and therefore making you more vulnerable to getting blown to tiny little pieces.

I agree with mario though, it isn’t going to happen :p

Its a nice idea, but its not likely they would have sirens placed all around every battlefield 'in case' of an artillery attack.

Is it my imagination.... but lately even if Iam under good cover I still die in an arty attack?????? Now Iam talking under the roof of building..... I would expect some splash damage if it lands nearby but to get flung round like a rag doll....

The commader has already been nerfed enough. Enough said. Besides dice is no longer adding more additional problems

I have never EVER survive ANY art strike.

I think sirens would be pretty stupid though since you can hear the guns firing in the distance so you pretty much know move or you're toast.

ya if no one noticed i think its better is you take the flags nearer to your enemy's main base

                              Re: Artillery Siren?

Sirens are generally used to warn of an air based attack as the planes generally show on radar some time in advance. As for ground based artillery there would be next to no warning therefore, this idea is not realistic.
