Lets include the occaisonal jump. We'll be generous and say that this person jumps at least once every minute.

We'll assume that the traditional match is 12 minutes long. (Most are around 20 minutes, if not longer, but I'm being generous.)

In each minute is 60 seconds. So thats 720 seconds per round.

Two keystrokes every second, equates to 1440. Including the occasional jump per minute (I'm being VERY generous here.) thats 1452 keystrokes required from the left hand per round.

That doesn't include the following: WASD, Main Com Talk (Q), Commander Com Tank (T), View Changes, VOIP talking, Score-card (Tab), Squad/Map View (Caps Lock), Weapon Change (1-6).

Remember that your fingers would be especially strained in instances where: You're holding down W to run; you're constantly pressing space to jump around; you're trying to make a half dozen keystroke motions at the same time. (So you can strafe while changing guns while bunny hopping and floor hopping for instance.)

Not only is the math a little unbelievable, but so is the thought of the strain that a person's hand would go through for merely ONE ROUND.

You're expecting us to believe that there are people out there willing to put their hand through that kind of torture? Especially when there are cheap third-party alternatives known as Macro Programs that could simply do the work for them?

    I honestly don't believe you.
No one does that every second. If you did that you wouldnt be able to go foward at all. People generally only do it when they are engaging someone. That really is not that many keystrokes. Just think about how many keystrokes you made just tryping that post and the other ones you have typed today. Pressing buttons on a keyboard is not exactly physically taxing. Regardless, that tactic is hardly effective anymore, and that is why you rarely see CAL players do it very much. I'm not saying no one uses macros, what I am saying is that anyone with a brain can do the exact same thing and thus it does not matter at all if they are using macros. I am also saying that because anyone can do it without macros you have no idea how many people use macros to do it.

playing just about any instrument often requires faster fingerwork and more strength than playing a first-person shooter.. yet, phrases "superhuman", "amazing endurance" and "physiologically impossible" are rarely combined with "musician"

Hey I have no problem if you argue a point I've made, but once you start getting on me personally, or making judgements on my skill, you will get the reaction I made earlier. Keep it about the topic only, and I'm happy

I never claimed it does. Only advanced moves that replicate themselves exactly each time and are not simple dive->prone. They are jump->strafe->dive->prone->zoom. Also, I'm not the OP of this thread, so tell that to him.

I have been playing this game since the day it came out and all I can tell you is that you are WRONG. Here, I'll repeat it again incase you didn't get it: WRONG. The reason people who do this "move" kill you is that good players do those kind of moves. They are killing you because they are better than you, not because the move doesn't allow you to kill them. Download the movie in my sig and you will see just how possible it is.
W/e. We'll agree to disagree and move on with our lives. Well, at least I will.
