i just ran into half of a clan full of these ****ers on insomnia mashtuur. lGUNl or something like that. the grenades flew, the fish flopped, and not suprisingly they took the top spots on every game they were there for. all were obviously using macros while they were not tank whoring. now, you cant tell me there is not a link there.

Macro's are third-party programs, and therefore not intentionally supported by the game Battlefield 2.

That means that the use of them is simply enough: A replacement of real skill.

It's a way that some less skilled players can keep up with the actually good players, without having to learn how to press the right buttons at the right time.

Yes, but pressing jump+prone does not take a macro at all.

I'm making a point you dumb little kid. This is a forum, and people argue here. If you don't like it, stop posting. I'm not following you anywhere I am paying attention to this thread. You clearly have no idea WTF you are talking about. Pressing jump+prone does not take a macro in any way shape or form.

No, your skill will allow you to counter that. From someone who cannot even figure out how to dolphin dive you seem to think you have strangly good knowledge of the BF2 engine. I have been playing this game since the day it came out and all I can tell you is that you are WRONG. Here, I'll repeat it again incase you didn't get it: WRONG. The reason people who do this "move" kill you is that good players do those kind of moves. They are killing you because they are better than you, not because the move doesn't allow you to kill them. Download the movie in my sig and you will see just how possible it is.

Doing it consecutively 24/7 to a point where your character is literally humping the ground, requires the use of a macro. There is a mainstream video of Volx who became famous for doing this through the use of his macros.

My guess is, this is what they were talking and or whining about.

You probably got confused as to what they meant, when you started arguing with Ent|ty who is just whining about dolphin divers in general.

Instant Proning is an artform if you're up against somebody who is better than you at it. This is when you have to make damned sure that they miss their first time, so you can set yourself up to instant-prone them back while they're still getting up from their first attempt.

                      What is "Instant Proning"?

                        Re: Macro to dodge-jump-bellyflop?

Jumping into the air, proning in the middle of the air, and coming down almost instantly to make a few shots that have almost 100% accuracy due to having zero recoil, and what feels like zero deviation. It's a strange occurace that happens due to DICE's poor coding. However since it's actually in the coding, it's considered legitimate.

If you're really good at instant proning, and if you can aim while proning in mid-air, you can generally turn this into two or three headshots.

This generally leads to 'hack' whines from people who don't know what Instant Prone is.

Your wrong. Period. First of all you cannot do that anymore because of the prone delay. Second of all before 1.4 plenty of people did that without macros by pressing z-crl-z-crl etc. I did it all the time. It took some practice to get the timing down and then it was easy as hell. So no, doing it "consecutively 24/7" does not require a macro, period. The players in CGI lan did it all the time, and I can assure you they did not use macros on national TV. I'm getting really tired of these random pubbers who think they know what they are talking about.

The prone delay occurs only when you're getting up.

It's still possible to do nowadays. The macros still exist.

Even the 'best players' would get a finger cramp after the first five minutes, so to say that the people who floor hump 24/7 don't macro just makes me smile and shake my head. Sometimes I wonder if you even have the ability to grasp common logic. Do you honestly expect us to believe that the top CAL players would be willing to risk Carpal Tunnel Syndrome for a 12 minute match? If so, I hope CAL tournaments offer Hazard pay and a good health plan for hands.

Anyhow... From what I've seen of the majority of CAL players that I've played with. The 'best players' that you speak of, don't even floor hump. I think Wolf was the only one that I've come up against who floor humped, and he wasn't very good at it.

I sincerely hope you're as important as you think you are for the sake of your obviously fragile ego.

Insecurity is such an ugly thing when it rears it's head as irrational anger and hate.

Yes, and in order to ground hump you have to get up. You have to go to the ground and then get up again. People can still ground hump but only as fast as the prone delay allows for them to. If your fingers are so fat you cannot do this without getting hand cramps that it not my problem, but for the rest of us it is very easy.

Pressing Z and then CTRL is two keystrokes.

Considering the prone delay is merely a fraction of a second, one could estimate that it would require two keystrokes per second to continuously floor hump.

Lets include the occaisonal jump. We'll be generous and say that this person jumps at least once every minute.

We'll assume that the traditional match is 12 minutes long. (Most are around 20 minutes, if not longer, but I'm being generous.)

In each minute is 60 seconds. So thats 720 seconds per round.

Two keystrokes every second, equates to 1440. Including the occasional jump per minute (I'm being VERY generous here.) thats 1452 keystrokes required from the left hand per round.

That doesn't include the following: WASD, Main Com Talk (Q), Commander Com Tank (T), View Changes, VOIP talking, Score-card (Tab), Squad/Map View (Caps Lock), Weapon Change (1-6).

Remember that your fingers would be especially strained in instances where: You're holding down W to run; you're constantly pressing space to jump around; you're trying to make a half dozen keystroke motions at the same time. (So you can strafe while changing guns while bunny hopping and floor hopping for instance.)

Not only is the math a little unbelievable, but so is the thought of the strain that a person's hand would go through for merely ONE ROUND.

You're expecting us to believe that there are people out there willing to put their hand through that kind of torture? Especially when there are cheap third-party alternatives known as Macro Programs that could simply do the work for them?

                                I honestly don't believe you.
