There is a SIMPLE solution to this



Unplug Joystick
Move the joystick all around on all 3 axes
Press buttons randomly
Do that for 30 seconds or so
Plug back in
Play

Either way it's working now, never had anything like this happen in 9months or so... but it's working again so it's good :)

No cause it's nothing to do with the usb.

I heard it was from the sensors or whatever, and by moving it and pressing buttons you are getting rid of all the electricity or whatever.. and then you plug it back in.

Technically, I think you can just unplug it, re-plug... but moving it around seems to work. If I don't do anything I still have the problem.

Even better, slightly more complicated solution: throw it away, and buy a Saitek X-52...:P I personally love it.

I'm using the 2.4 Freedom joystick which is basically, the chordless version of Extreme3dpro. I also had the same problem of plane having a mind of it's own when you let go.

Assuming you have calibrated the joystick already, what you need to do is, open logitech profiler, create a new profile, browse BF2.exe and set your deadzone in x, y, z or roll, pitch, rudder(yaw) axis to 20%, 30% at most.

Then, it will be as stable as rock!

Quite the opposite!! Whether it's a X-52 or few hundred dollar CH joystick, women hate geeks/nerds!

Just a quick question to those that use Logitec Extreme 3D PRO joystic.

Today I got in my F35B and the jet just started to roll to the left withought me touching the joysick! I couldn't fly because if I let go off the joysick the jet starts to roll to the left in circles, flying was heard too, anything like this happene to you? :S

I have one of those "sticks. I bought it NIB at whats know in these parts as a garage sale and yes the joystick exhibited the same pull to the left as described.

I can only say the stick is good for flight sims and not games like the BF series where you need to jump into the jet and take off quickly without crashing which is what happened to me too many time with that Logitech J Stick

Search Logitech and Chris_Redfield on these boards. Ive been having a war with sensor wear-outs and joysticks for 1.5 years now. Ive been able to use Logitech Attack 3 longer than anyone would, simply by using some odd software.

What you can do first is follow the simple guides.

Then, try this one- DXTweak2. Ive posted up a guide to this somewhere.

I know certain people have had drifting issues with the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro but my 3d Pro is still flawless after well over a year of heavy abuse in Battlefield 2 and other joystick friendly games. At this point I've gotten the money I paid to purchase the stiok in entertainment value so many times over I'm a very satasfied customer. If it were to break right now I'd chuck it in the garbage and go buy a new one without hesitation.
