Nowadays the village is so empty, kids smoke at 13, some even do drugs and fvck me dead... 90% of them or more choose their PC/console over a game of tags in abandoned industrial buildings.
The difference in childhoods, within just less than 10 years.
So yeah, this picture makes me sick. But not because its a 10 year old admin. Because its a 10 year old with a wasted childhood.
      I agree with ya completely.
But Im so worried about him going outside ever. Some of you might be from the NE cities of the US so you might understand the rise in Bloods gang violence in the Philly/NY/Trenton area...so it worries me.
So far this year we have had about 4 kids under 10 get caught in the cross fire, also last week we had another gang execution about a mile away.

So not much as just worrying about him in the middle of some crap, I worry about him going that route. We arent even religous but we send him to catholic school just to cause we hope to have him aviod those things even more. Trust me..it isnt even easy for a kid to not be in the hip-hop/gangster scene and not be picked on. I was one of the maybe 10 metal heads in the local HS..it wasnt that easy.

So yeah he can play organized sports and activities, but just letting him be outside to play without me...I dont know when and if that will ever happen.

Id rather have him fat with pimples and his hands attached to a keyboard then have him blasting The Game, wearing all red and thinking he is some gangster.

PKM, I understand that completely. I feel kind of sorry for you and your kid here. I grew up in a village with a population of 333, and the nearest BIG city with BIG CITY CULTURE (the worst of mankind) about 300 kilometres away from me. Even nowadays, people actually leave their home doors open and even small kids roam around unguarded. And there are no such problems youre facing.

It must really be a b!tch to worry all day/night about your kid (no sarcasm). But Im glad that youre not abandoning him, like the trend is around here now. And that you want the best for him, and that best actually is best :). Good luck.

why does it matter if little kids play bf2? they bought it to, they should get to play it.

what does annoy me is how good his setup is. ill bet he takes that for granted

he's obviously playing on dads pc, no harm in that. it looks like he has the all seeing eye running on the right, i could be wrong though.

How would that be any different from the usual variety of admins?

Plus Im hoping by the time he is 16-18 Ill be cool enough to chill out with him around are pool when he starts bringing over hot chicks in tight little bikini's..then Ill be cool dad sitting in my lawn chair eyeing up some firm little boobies trotting around my pool. Ill only be in my late 30's so luckily I wont be a crippled old man with saggy balls and back hair.

Or if Im really lucky maybe he'll be a pro-athelete or rockstar...groupies *drool*

You know PKM, the thing about chicks at 16-17, it really ain't going to happen. The only way it will happen, is if you are in outstanding shape and cooler then your son. It is really funny, because I am 29, and I am married to someone a little older then me and she has a son that is 17. He is in the punk/emo scene and it is kinda of strange having kids come over that are not progressive, but regressive. I am a totally opposite person from him, but I am still able to talk on his level and I am always thinking, God, I am not that far away from his age.

I am really sorry for the environment you have to raise him in. It is a hard thing. Let me ask, do you have a YMCA close? I was always an athelete and a geek at the same time. That is actually the best combination I feel. Having someone that is very healthy, strong, and smart. Women appriciate it too because most guys are either eggheads or dickhead jocks. I would say try to also squeeze some time in with your kid at a basketball court or maybe both of you learn how to play tennis. I picked up tennis a couple years ago. I thought it was super gay, but I found out that tons of girls play it! I have since put a list of things together that as a guy, you need to learn to play because that is where the women are. Tennis, Sand Volleyball, couples dancing (and I am actually a very topshelf dancer, they guy that one "So you think you can dance?" is very good friends with my wife)...and lastly, watercraft stuff like water skies.

If you can get him good at some of these things, he will always find someone of the opposite sex to talk too instead of having to buy someone a drink to talk to them.

If you can, get your kid on the court of some kind. My dad always spent a hell of a lot of time with me when I was not playing with my friends and now I see the relationship we have. My step-son had a dad that was all caught up in his own life and now my step-son is totally lost.

                      _

Now back on subject, that kid is on his dad's machine. I am 100% sure. Look at all the linux stuff sitting around. That system, though it is rigged for gaming, is actually a development station. If you see the monitor in the background, I suspect that this person is come kind of contractor or IT pro.

I really don't care about the kid playing, because I played the hell out of Doom when I was 13. I just don't want him in my squad (or anyone) if they are a sniper, screaming in the mic, or not pushing hard to take the next flag. if those are really admin tools, well yes that is kinda wrong, but hey, what do you expect? People still say games are for kids, and when you are an adult, you have to put up with kids that have time on their hands.

That picture explains lots. I can think of a couple servers on which he could be an admin.

The pic makes my neck hurt. How can someone play looking a little to the left like that. I am getting a kink in my neck just thinking about it. O to have a 5 year old neck again. :)

I don't see BFCC running on the right screen. This is what BFCC looks like

PKM - I think u should have more kids, man. The world need more adjusted people....

The kid in the pic looks just like I did, playing Operation Wolf on parents commodore 64, circa 1988

It is funny you mention the neck pain, because if you notice the ergonomic keyboard...the way the monitors are setup, kinda defeat the purpose.
