Ive used the joystick as far as I can remember for jets. The Logitech Extreme 3D Pro is an awesome joystick (not the same as the one you ranted) and has a wonderful handling. It's a bit smoother than for example the MS Sidewinder and has good buttons as well as a fine appearance.

I must say that Joy2Key is a must of a program even if I only use it for the Commo Rose facility.

Practice and more practice. It took me a little bit to get used to it. But it is alot better and now is difficult at times to use the mouse insterad of teh JS since i am used to it.

I just use this line in my controls.con for my joystick I don't even need to boot Joytokey. Thought it was this one:

          ControlMap.addButtonToTriggerMapping c_GIRadioComm IDFGameController_0 IDButton_9 0 1

Well at least that works for me. The thing is a Joystick is much fun. I've flewn against a few good Pilots not in a Public. Just a one on one. MiG-29 vs. MiG-29 etc. It's really fun if you know basic manouvers you can have much fun on pubs already :)
