Hope Bf2 last forever with many people playing in the future?
I mean without BF 2142, Bf2 will be packed with people.
And without BF2 there wont be 2142.

I don't think it'll ever really fall off until they quit supporting the ranks or when more combat games get more into the flow like OF.
Who knows it may kick back up and be one of the most popular like CSS did.
I know I'll be playing it for as long as I can find a server to connect to, just gotta get the new addons packs so I can get a lil different gameplay every once in awhile. I'm still waiting on scinto to buy me sf too. :p

I'll be moving to Armed Assault, others will move to ETQW if it ever arrives lol
DICE didn't do themselves any favours with their treatment of BF2 and then the gameplay decisions of BF2142, I doubt I will ever buy another Battlefield title

The mods will keep it up, i'm gradualy changing to more mods and PR 0.4 looks like something i'll like alot as there's alot to it - so that should keep me busy for awhile, plus DICE's ModLight thingy helps alot, OPK got a huge boost in popularity when it was featured, not sure what's being featured now though. :S

I Personally think that when it comes to BF2 and BF2142 that BF2 is better, mainly because i never really like sci-fi games and ofcourse 2142 is set in the future...i guess i like the feeling of first person shooting games when the game is based on more a reality...if it comes to a gun for example i would much rather be haveing the AK than a futuristic Laser Plasma gun for instince...i think BF2 will stay around because it is more realistic and it will for me , at least, since i dig more realistic shooting games...

2772 doesn't count as a BF.. more like part of the starwars series.

You're rite dude, you are the man! I agree, BF2142 is too "futuristic" its just like starwars battlefront 2. BF2 is definitely worthwhile playing than bf2142 because you got all your stats and stuff, you dont want to start all over again? there will be another patch coming!

BF2 will be fine. Until the game play and enviroments are equaled by another game BF2 will continue to be popular. If EA ever drops support for the stat system, then we have problems.
Crysis hasn't shown us anything except pretty graphics. If they can produce some game content it will be a huge hit. Quake wars isn't much of a threat because the game won't allow anything even close to 64 players on a server.
