it does help to hit IO servers these days

btw, you'll never beat this claymore kdr if you stay a camping sniper (especially on rooftops and cranes)

OK then... I never leave a claymore unsupervised, i just lay them behind me and usually stay in that possition for the whole map < thats how good i am at not being spotted :evil:

A good claymore score is NOTHING to be proud of. Claymores are abused by using them as an offensive weapon because you cannot do anything to move them.

You can have a game of karkand with an army of infrantry against an army of snipers who just claymore whore and snipers will never lose.

Claymore death rate is also determined by how many times you die whilst holding the claymore. As you generally dont hold a claymore all the time like you hold a gun, your deaths are considerably low.

In short if you claymore whore it shows you need to abuse a defensive weapons and no friendly fire, just to match the score of the other good players of battlefield.

yeah chugs, it is tricky, if you dont know how to do it you go BOOM
what you have to do is go into the claymore in the prone position from the front or back, it wont work from the side for some reason, anyway go prone and ease up to it real slow until your little wrench bullseye comes up, about 3 cranks and its gove

i only have 174 clay kills in 52 hours of sniping, it saddens me that you must ruin a class for compensation of your incredible lack of skill

The KDR also takes into account times that you are killed by holding the claymore as well as other players clays.

As for the people making the derogatory comments about clay usage, they are there to be used as part of the sniper kit. I will say i don't agree with putting them at spawnpoints but any other situation is fair game. To be honest i don't think some people would be happy until everyone else has their kit taken off them so they stand a chance

Also this thread is about other players scores with clays, hence the name, not "claymore scores...and ooh while were at it lets have a cry about them" :)

No one gets like 1,700 claymore kills by defending their sniper position, you get them by running into the meatpit on Karkand and slapping them down in the alleys.

Let me use your own words, "they are there to be used as part of the sniper kit." With that many kills there is no way the rifle is out even half the time.

Anyone claymore you toss that would other wise kill your team if FF (noob mode) was off is ghey.

You wouldnt toss those claymores is hallways or around flags if FF was off right? So you take advantage of a broken system that the noobers couldnt deal with and exploit it.

when Im sniping I use my Clays to cover my back or drop them if Im evading a guy thats chasing me...but in no way would I just toss them about into areas for easy kills, thats really unskilled noob play.

Clays around flags..seriously how ghey is that? Your getting free kills by clciking and forgetting. I give props to the Spec Ops guy that C4's a flag, but to just drop clays is weak play.

FF ruined the gamne for alot of good snipers, now all the kit is good for is the average noob that cant deal with CQC pressure and likes to stay back occasionally tossing his insta kill insta point clays about.

show me an engy actually wasting his time out of a vehicle or risking his arse to sneak up behind a claymore that has a pi$$ poor detonation area (Sometimes they go off at 1foot away..sometimes at 50 feet away..sometimes you have to run by twice before it goes off)

And trust me..I used them to get my Explosives badge, so yes I know they can be exploited..I had 65 kills with clays in one round.

ALSO: If you are on my team and I see you spamming and its not for a badge..I will go engy and disable you clays.

Clays : 882/268 3.17 hours

I have... 1,020 kills to 155 death with about 61 hours of sniper. Darn, I'm a claywhore... Stay away from me. I'm dangerous!

It's 2820 kills actually:)

Sniper position? For a start i don't sit about waiting for people to run past, too much time wasted, i get into the thick of the action and actually try and win. Once you have a few hours under your belt you tend to learn the best places to drop the clays for best effect.

Total time as sniper; 158:42:16
Sniper rifle: 111:49:33
Pistol: 05:47:08
Which leaves about only 40 hours unaccounted for, Most of that will be taken by tanks/APC's and vehicles while sniper
Anyway running about with a claymore is stupid cos you cant shoot back and when you drop the clay it takes about 5 seconds to arm and by that time the person who has just killed you has buggered off!!

Can i suggest that if you don't like claymores that you create a thread to that effect, this thread is a bit of fun regarding scoring
