Just got the game..

Just got the game well my new GFX just come, its kinda hard to get the hang of a keyboard as never played a PC game, only played BF on 360, anyway will a joystick do anything , I wanna fly jets and be peopels wing-men but it seems that I can't fly a chopper without rolling it into a teammate.

Overall its good, I was in a apache with someone and it was good fun.

I am going to say KB/Mouse all the way unless you are in the air. It is going to be a tough transition if you have not spent awhile playing Quake all your life. But, I am sure you will adapt. The KB defaults are pretty good, so I would not suggest changing any of the keys. If you have a multi-button mouse, you might want to add some binds to the extra buttons on your mouse.

Hmm, its more of controlling the jet with my mouse currently I use keyboard , I have only 3 buttons but might add like a bomb button to the 'scroll' button. Thanks , oh yea can you recommend any good servers??

sorry, your in the UK so I don't have any suggestions. Might download Qtracker to help you locate servers in your region.

I suggest a Joystick with jets. I KB/Mouse helos, but that is dangerous when you come up against someone that has more movement from a Joystick.

i use keyboard only for jets and helos, its really hard to mouse and keyboard jets, helos you can get the hang of if you practice

yeh m8 in the server Browser Type UK in the Name Filter Also Check the Ranked Filter too

Look At This ( all the highlighted in Red )

1. Check Ranked Box
2. Type UK in Server Name box
3. Click Update Server List

And your done :)

Most of the servers are populated throughout the day so happy Fraggin :)

I still suggest Qtracker. That way, if you still have a good link to the Netherlands, you can jump on some dutch servers.

We'll I don't use a joystick but I have heard that if you are a jet flyer they are very good depends on what kind you have to.

I would use a joystick for jets. For no other reason then it is a lot more fun with a flight stick. I don't know why but I flew with a mouse/KB for a long while. (although I don't fly much) Switched to flight stick ( sidewinder 2 I bought off a buddy for 5 bucks) and it was more fun. Just a little more like the real thing I guess.

U think thats a s**t connection?? Down here in NZ we have worst connections eva, Im suppose to be on unlimited d/l speeds but I only get 900kb/s, the reason is because one company owes all of NZ phone lines and they all get overloaded :evil:

Don't know the server IP off by heart but my regular haunt is UK Warfare. Just type that in and it'll come up. Great admining, filled with sound regulars and UKWF clan members who actually squad up and get this, TALK to each other over VOIP. I've explored loads of UK servers and this one is by far the best.
