    Get to know the maps
sniper is your friend, learn to use claymores
medic will get you loads of points but get the G36E unlock first!!
Stick to 2 maps, karkand and sharqi for a while
dont learn to fly when theres veteran flyers cos they'll kick your a*s!!
    Tanks are your mates
    follow high ranking people
    check these forums for tips:)
Do not use claymores as offensive weapons please!! This is the most annoying and un skilled way of killing an enermy.

If i were you get to know the infrantry maps first, these offer much more flexibility than vehicals and is easier to perfect.
One main tip already said is that:
Use single shot for long range
to get single shot, press 3 while holding out your main weapon, and it will turn the gun to single shot. You can tell if its on single shot by the small number in the bottom right of your screen, by your ammo bar
A means full auto, 3 means 3 shot burst, 1 means single shot.
And use auto matic or 3 shot burst for close range.

Always when shooting an opponant, go prone, unless this limits your vision too much to not see the opponant, then consider crounching.

Going prone maximises accuracy and makes your have less surface area than a standing player.

Also never be afraid to run, an alive soldier is far more effective than a dead one.

When taking a flag either hide in a corner or constantly move and jump around, this should prevent snipers getting an easy head shot.

Play assult and medic class to start with then expand.

More great advice, I'll work on this. I'd been playing Special Forces, not knowing any better, I'll go for Medic and try that.

What is TK? I thought it was Team Kill?

I don't even know how the hell to lay claymores yet.

Lemme ask this about the Medic...when I hear "I need a medic now", I see the name who said it, but is there an easy way to find them? Other than looking around at the people for the name over their head?

I searched on 'medic' and found many good threads that I'm reading right now.

To heal someone, do I just have to be near them? Have my medic pack out? Or actually throw it on the ground?

The person will have a red cross over their head in the mini map. Look at the top left portion of your screen.

Got it. I played a while last night, and usually finished around the middle of the rankings on my team. Only played in a ranked server once by accident...3 kills, 60 deaths. Is there any way to reset that?
