    Re: Claymores

drive a vehicle over them and they will blow up without harming you... and keep away from the close alleys on Karkand such as the one right in front of the hotel flag. If you wander there you'll either be blown up by a claymore or a support grenade spammer.

When walking around corners stay away from the dead corner and walk a bit further..

I don't really care what people do with their claymores.

Attack, defence? Doesn't matter. Welcome to the BF2.

What's with everyone calling everyone who makes any complaint about anything a baby or a whiner?

If you don't have any better insight than that, stfu and listen if you want to learn something. Otherwise, get out and stay out of the damn conversation.

Claymore spammers are pretty much douchebags who ruin any sense of realism with their desperate attempts to get kills because they're too unskilled to get kills with other weapons.

FF with claymores should be off, imo. Because teammates are retarded, claymores are extremely sensitive, and WAY too many "accidents" happen. I think FF off is a great idea, however, why EA decided to take it further and make them indestructible is beyond me. They've had 2 patches now to fix that mistake, so I guess we should just get used to it. I've noticed that some servers do have FF on for mines, and others have rules that prohibit surrounding flags with clays (another smacktard tactic). So the only really effective solutions are to live with it or find better servers (non-Karkand ones).

            Re: Claymores

just watch out of claymores.........end of arguement. about half the time I can spot a claymore before walking into it, but for most people its much less, here's one small tip- after killing a sniper watch out for any claymores he might have thrown before dying.........after idunno 5 minutes or something, the claymore disappears if it doesn't come in contact with anyone. Generally speaking just be more aware of your SURROUNDINGS!

ok well before you go off on one take a good look on the forums, it is overcrowded with people whining about the game, most of them are pointless really like why do people punish for accidental teamkills? or why do people steal planes and other unnesary threads of simalar content. their is a small minority of well thought out whines that are actualy good points, not just someone pouring their heart out onto the forums. I try my hardest to help people when i can but seeing so many posts that dont even require an explanation is so enraging. its liek the user posts it to get their count up.
secondly you are instantly discriminating against people who use claymores. you have not espablished what a claymore spammer is, therefore a person who simply uses them may be called this rather unappropriate name. SPAM Stupid Pointless Annoying Messages? was it? you are using spam in the wrong context. again stupid posting their.. and like alot of people have said if it were a real exploit then EA would remove it. if u see a sniper with a claymore, he is unarmed it cant be hard to shoot him. if u see a claymore, well ehough said, plus they never top the scores and they ARE actively helping their team by eliminating the enermy. i think u best just stay quite before u go off on one. their are 2 ways of complaining and the ones who do it for posting sake are called whiners.

I booby trap UAV trailers, flags, holes in fences, anywhere that I can guess that an enemy will likely go. I could care less about those whining about how "unfair" it is. They sound just like the damn third graders I teach. "It aint fair, It aint fair!".....GET OVER IT !!!!!! Go play your gaylo2 or something on your xbox.

Here here Ulm4lyf! also because they are directional if you place them round corners of allyways for example they are far less likely to be seen and avoided. plus u can catch them sneaky blighters who sneak around the back of places for flag capture

                      Re: Claymores

I posted this in another thread, but thought it pertinent to this one too:

Side story, but I had a round on Sharqi today where we (MEC) captured the TV station first, and my squad was assigned defense.

I'm not normally a claymore whore, but I had a blast with perpetual claymores at either end of the flag room (one at the deck ladder, and one at the stair door). My squad leader played spec ops to demo toys, and the US commander was dropping crates left right and center to repair, so I had an endless supply with two in play and two in my kit at all times.

28 kills in the round, most by claymore, and several counted as flag defense for bonus points. It was the first experience I've had with guys bypassing my mines, but it only seemed to happen when I dropped a mine, and they were already within the blast radius. One medic stood there within the death zone and dropped his whole supply of medic bags at his feet as if he hoped it would counteract the blast when he moved. No such luck!

It was still friggin hilarious to hear from the stairwell:

                      Boom! Clear!, Your alright buddy!,

                      Boom! Clear!, Your alright buddy!,

                      Boom! Clear!, Your alright buddy!,

                      Boom! Nothing!

(I'm sure the other team wanted to kick my a$$).
So I still don't claymore whore much, but I do see the fun once in a while when used in defensive ambushes.

                        Re: Claymores

Well I always like to see the other side of things, you know. I usually answer a claymore spammer with my own claymore spaming. yes, It seems to be rather pointless but it works.
The best answer to a group of spamers is to go engineer and crawl around removeing the claymores. I know that you wont get any points this way but no one else does either. The last time I did that on the Karkand map I must have removed 30 or 40 claymores blocking or protecting the hotel and square flags. I really liked the part where one of the enemy snipers asked, in the text chat, if the claymores had been turned off. I had to tell him that the claymores were ok but that I had been removeing them.
I swear the more I play BF2 the more it seems like a big game of rock, paper, scissors. I think you know what I mean. . . . . . . . . Red

                          Re: Claymores

I defenetly agree with you and I've seen people just jumping into the action and droping the claymore. It takes couple of seconds to activate it but I just see the game go down since the release. I think that people should start playing Project Reality to get the taste of a real war game and not doing stupid stuff like its a fantasy game.
