Claymores

:) Since claymores have been stopped from killing team mates, some snipers decide to use claymore to place within well populated areas, to rack up kills. Nothing can be done to move claymores but pick up the snipers kit to turn them into your claymores.

I am fed up with people putting claymores down and get 1-2 kills without any skill just placing a mine.

Claymores before were used as defence for prone snipers who liked to sit hidden away and claymores were purely defence. Now some snipers seem to kamikazi into populated areas dropping claymores hoping for each 1-2 kills.

Surely the friendly fire on claymores was not taken off to allow them to be used as offensive weapons? but just to prevent team kills?

Any thoughts? :)

Yes, I agree that it takes no skill to run in the middle of enemy troops and to place a mine. It really should be used more as a defense weapon.

Actually, Engineers can remove them from behind. Never really had a problem with mass claymore laying, I'm always far away from the "killing orgies" in my little corner, trying to hide from the lag they produce. Only thing sending me into a moshpit like that is if I'm a medic and a guy needs saving.

you do realize that claymores in real life are used primarily for ambushes. and what better place to lay an ambush other than an area where your enemy is sure to go, such as a flag base?

Ehhh, If I'm not wrong, there are servers where claymores are triggered by friendlies still. You could try other servers if it annoys you too much. lol.

im pretty sure they do on a non-FF server? but yeah i only use them when im actully snipeing, like when some guys chaseing me and i go around the corner, lay a claymore, and yeah....

Never knew about the engineer kit pickin up claymore lol, although it doesnt sound too useful lol.

You are right tho this is what 24/7 karkand is all about trying to make the best scores possible without cheating lol.

We'll it may be no skill but its a kill so to me they may have no skill but the score dosen't lie. I like the claymore when I get the kill but I like C4 better then you can get massive kills.
