The average sniper on an urban map..

WHY.... why... do snipers run in to the middle of the action, spam their 2 claymores KNOWING they are going to die, and then as they are running away they throw their grenades until they die.. SO annoying.

I was playing rubberducky jalalabad last night with my friend, he's a good sniper, and actually *snipes*... Well I went in behind enemy lines and just snuck up on all those grenade spamming ****ers and just shot everyone in the face with my trusty M11-87 Ended up going on like a 20 kill streak within like 30 seconds.

Because they know they're going to get at least two kills for the trouble...even more on Karkand.

Probably same reason people go Support and spam grenades constantly, or AT use the SRAW ALL the time instead of their gun, or people spawn kill with tanks and APC's......all classes have their ways of statpadding...part of the game

        Yep. That is the explanation.

If you kill them, they're sure to get you too.

excuse me? first of all, with the a/t kit you cant stat pad. its one of the harderst kits to use and get very high pts with. 2nd u have 5 rockets, thats it and its not the easiest thing to use CQC with fast acting combat giong around. you better back up there pal:evil: just about the a/t comment. seriously, what a load of bullcrap you said about it.

Woooooooooo....! Have i touched a nerve?? You seem a bit sensitive, take it you're one of the AT'ers that doesnt know how to use his PP19/P90/DA012 and runs about with the SRAW out permanently:) The point im trying to make is that all classes use what they have to get points. SRAW's are not meant to be used against single infantry, hence the name Anti-Tank and not anti-infantry, but they are. Same as C4 is meant for taking out UAV stations and satellite dishes but it is also used around flags and detonated when it turns white. Not what it's meant for but still used like that. Clays are meant for protecting the sniper but are often used at spawn points.....just the way the game is.

I put claymores infront of me when I find a hill where I can alternate stand/crouch/prone while I find targets to quick-shot snipe (Never take longer than 1 second to aim, or they'll kill you first - I'd rather miss than die.). I purposely put them on the downward slope where I'm standing on, so the enemy can't see them.

This way, if I ever get into trouble with a squad converging on me, I can fire a shot or two, or throw a single grenade to attract their attention to my position, and lure them into my claymores... then when their buddies start trying to rez them, I can put a few grenade suprises by the dead body.

Then I just mop up any remnants with my L9A61, or silenced MR-444/92FS.

Afterwords, a couple people whine about how I hack, and then I can continue on my merry little killing spree in peace.

                2 kills + 1 death = success

Thats why. A lot of people in this game suck pretty bad. If they know they can get their 2 kills then they will try. Even if it is lame.

^ thats exaclty why they do it

they were given claymores for a reason, and hte best place to put them is in a crowded area where they kno it will do damage to help their team

also...u can sortof compare them to suicide bombers and ppl like them....they obviusly dont care about dying

Spamming claymores takes no skill. I love seeing the sniper running towards me with claymore in hand, seeing him sh!t his pants when I unload bullets in him :)

A friend of mine is the best sniper I personally know in the game. I love watching him as he stalks his victims rather than running around like a headless chook. He's currently ranked 18 in the world as Sniper. Here's his stats:

Oh i hear yeah, i love playing sniper but this is an issue i have with BF2 they should provide on a soldier another kit, which is what happens in real battle. Why only one kit, which is really stupid.

18th in the world? my sniper stats beat him (dont look up snipers0, not my account anymore), to bad I stopped playing due to the huge amount of snipers that started up and gave the good ones who don't claymore whore a bad rap.

ill use my dao if u are within 30 meters away. other than that ill take out anyone else crouching or prone with my eryx, especially snipers in hard to reach places like high roof tops. its a purely tactical weapon to use and i am shocked to see this kind of reaction to the a/t kit. assume all u want, though ive only used a/t on IO maps maybe a few times since CQC dao owns at time and long range is no prob if u know how to use the eryx. other than that, its against tanks apcs and all other vehicles like choppers and boats andjeeps. ive taken 3 jets down im my time with the eryx and thats one of the best feelings in bf2 i think, one of the.
