one tip i will give you is dont get into Helicopters or Jets! practise in empty servers first! you'll just crash and die alot and wont help your team out by wasting a valuable asset

other than that enjoy bf2!

ps dont punish if you were accidentally teamkilled!

And i dont know if anyone anwser this but, no you will not be able to run full settings with your current setup. Need more memory, and your video card is pretty good, but i dont know if it can haddle everything, wont hurt to try, you can always lower the settings. But i know for a fact that you dont have enought memory to run everything in full. There's one setting that you cannot max out, i think it might be textures. And cause of your video card, i would leave teh AA to 0.

so how much Memory would be needed??? and if i put the game to lowers settings it will the graphics will still look good right???

Graphics should look decent. But the game might stutter here and there, because the game will be accecing your HD since the game uses alot of memory. I play everything on full and i ussually see from 1.3 to 1.6 gigs of memory being used, depends on the map and stuff. Granted i might have more programs than you. But trust me i dont have alot of crap runing on the background, so is mostly whatever Windows uses normally and then the game. But if you keep Textures(i think is that one) to low, it should be more fluent, since the game will not utilise as much memory.

Okay, but i have 2GB RAM....and you are saying u use up about 1.6gigs, so as far as memory goes i should be okay right??? it's just the texture settings....

You will most likely be able to run at full settings. I have a 6800 Ultra, and you said you had a 7600 card. I have 2 gigs and you have 2 gigs. I can run at full settings easily, you should be able to. There's a couple other variables thrown in there, but you see my point.

my bad, i thougth i read you only had 512, you will be able to run full, sorry. Yeah i read it too fast. You will be ok. I am not sure about 4X AA with a 7600, but it might be ok.

okay cool...thanks...and one more question...can you connect to broadband by using a wireless router??? and if so which wireless router allows you to connect to broadband???

Broadband, is DSL, Cable internet. Pretty much it just means high speed internet. Yes you can do it wireless. But the router, or whichever device supplying the signal has to be connected to a high speed internet access line. How do you access the internet? how are you connected right now.

my suggestion is, you now have a good deal of information to get connected- your pcs video will run it all on high (but turn AA off for now) so nows the stage that you need to go try it out and if/when you get stuck, then come back with an explanation of your first problem and then we can help you get through it.

Otherwise we could be here till next week posting tips and titbits of info about being a new gamer, we were all one once ... just try it out and see what gives :) Good luck!
