your player id is the number you are assigned each time you load into a server. The first person to connect is Player 1, etc etc.

My team has tested it and it's the lower player id in the squad that will take over SL. Like somebody mentioned, in big servers people with the lower id usually has a pretty high score since he's been there the longest. hense why most poeple think it's whoever has the highest score, when its not.

One thing they should have done rather than make it so you can't join a squad until you're alive is... they should have made it so you can't leave a squad until you're alive. That'd prevent the squad cycling, and allow people to at least join a squad if they're dead.
