Re: I'm Still Here!
Well, I've been playin the demo for about a week now and noticed only minor bugs( mechs slide instead of walk sometimes, hard to walk or stand still inside the titan[ imagine your trying to catch a ride on an M1A2 moving 1 MPH, just a bit shifty while you stand/walk], along with a few other things), nothing bad enough to say it sucks though. Judging from the demo, it does need some work, but it's nothing near as glitchy as BF2 was mid 1.3.
It's also more balanced for both infantry and armor. No need to worry about getting bombed to hell once you spawn or getting shot up by a camping tank, each spawn point has at least one anti-armor and anti-air emplacement(they actually work now) too deal with such threats and anti-tank rounds do significant damage this time around.
The point system works a bit better now, with a scoring system for the squad leader(finally, eh?)and a slew of other ways to get points through teamwork(teamwork is now a needed instead of being a great luxury).
That's only a semi-brief description of what it's like, but overall I'll most likely stick to BF2 more, just can't beat the present day stuff I say.
ALSO: They still need to hammer out the decreased FPS problem, people with high endish comps like mine still get pretty bad frames(worse than 1.4 unfortunatly), but I'm hoping that's just the demo.(Can't imagine how bad it'll be 2 or 3 patches from now if they don't fix that...ugh...It's EA and DIce though, so I better prepare myself for some 10 FPS frag fests.:hmm:
