WTF?? I earn 20k+ pts and get master sergeant rank, then I look, that the next rank is first sergeant and I need just some basic badges (knife, engineer, pistol), so now I have these badges and I don't get next rank?? WHY???

Because you can't rank up from Master Sergeant to First Sergeant...how many more times...

I guess my point in posting this in the first place, is to tell EA that they should at least give notice as to the requirements IN-GAME.

I didn't think to 'research' or 'search' for the problem I had, because I didn't know it would even happen. I was too busy fragging and assuming it would all be taken care of for me - as a paying customer.

Oh well, live and learn. I started another character to unlock the weapons I do want to use , especially now that I have SF.

Whether you're first sgt or master sgt you still have to obtain 30K for your next rank...calm down tiger.

Yep, happened to me too.

So now I have to wait until 50000 points to get my next rank on this account, which doesn't include an unlock.

Hey EA, you assholes, The only reason I play this game is to get my unlocks. I play for fun, and to win. I don't play for stats. The only reason I play for stats or ranking is so I can use the weapons i bloody well payed for.

This is one of the reasons I won't be buying 2142. I shouldn't be punished for simply playing a game.

I want all the weapons available, so I can enjoy the game to its fullest, instead of getting pwned with superior weapons, by people who have 24/7 to rank up. Lamest deal buying this game ever....

So I started a new account, just so I can play with unlocks I didn't unlock yet (for example, Special Forces weapons, which I paid for , thinking i'd be able to use right away -nope). **** EA.

Once you have ranked to 20,000, first sergeant or not, you get an unlock, the nexty rank is 50,000 points, same with everyone and you DO get an unlock.

Who you been talking too?? either that or your assuming a lot. The 2nd tier unlocks available in BF2 once you have spec forces are an added bonus from purchasing Special Forces, you still have to earn the unlocks.

Here's a tip. go into the search option on this forum and go crazy, you'll find all you need to know in there.

It doesn't matter which rank you do or will have, you still get 1 unlock per promotion, or 2 if you have played SF.
