I did a search and found nothing. I know there is a way to see fps ingame, but forgot. Can somebody tell me how again?

First number is your fps, second is milliseconds between each frame.

the console, by pressing either ~ or ` . One or the other..

I get between 30 - 90 fps on,

3.4 GHz P4 with HT enabled
X1800XT 256mb
1GB ddr 400 Crucial value (lol) PC 3200
2 x 400gb seagate barracudas 7200rpm
thermaltake kandalf case with 9 fans , side window and 3 blue cold cathodes...
and some MSI MS-7046 OEM motherboard which i think ive fried (nearly).
NOTHING Overclocked

This is with 1280x1024, everything exept textures and filters high, textures and filters med.

My laptop:

AMD Turion X2 TL-56 1.83GHz
2GB ddr2 667MHz
Nvidia Go 7200
100GB 5400 rpm summin HDD
15.4" "bright wide screen"
Don't know motherboard...
NOTHING overclocked

Gets 30+ fps with everything med, high textures adn texture filters, no AA or AF @ 1024x768, but I run with everything on low because of heat issues...

Now Im just waiting for christmas to get some money and maybe a couple of parts to upgrade with...

I am happy that i have my 1Gig machine with Radeon x850XT
and U guys are talking about 3000$ Alienwares with Athlon 4600 2Gigs and SLi 7800GTX

all I can say that U wasted Ur money,U could buy good gaming machine for 1500$,casue in few months new techonology and more powerfull components will come out

I totally agree, I have been stuck with that P4 for 2 years this november, plus my laptop is mainly for school...graphical designing and other stuff like that...but you can wait and wait and wait for the next "NEW" computer parts and technology to be released, but then you might decide to wait some more the even newer technology and parts just around the corner...so there has to be a point where you decide to stop waiting and buy the parts...but mak sure that point is just after a nice new product has been released...but a fair while before the next one...
