I always check the rank for ppl that fly me or i let them gun. Ppls whos ranks are less than Master gunnery sergent get red lined because they cannot tv or fly

After quite a lengthy dogfight last night I'd fired two full salvo's of rockets, of which about 60% hit, and I was waiting for them to reload, when we got blown out the sky. I shouted "Where the hell is my gunner" over the VOIP, and I got typed back :

"I need better angles than that to shoot the TV".

I was livid. If he'd fired his freaking cannon for even a short burst, we'd have shot the enemy down. I typed backm "Why not shoot him with the gun" And his answer was the TV klls them quicker.

The only reason we'd managed to last so long againstt he bloody enemy was some kick assed flying by me,and because I refused to let them get a firing solution on us.

IMHO about 90% of the heli heli dogfights are done with the TV missiles, and people seem to fly nose to nose,then both climb, trying to get the TV shot. Seems kinda dumb to me.

We were in this guys 7 or 8 for about 2 minutes, the gunner had all the time in the world to cannon his *** to death, but even with me screaming "Shoot him with the cannon!" he refused. Eventually it was a combinatin of heli rocket hits, cannon hits and a Vodnik that shot us down. I didn't bother getting back in the heli that round.....

OOB doesnt work anymore does it? I used to be against solo'ing just because it has 2 seats. But a wise sloi said "Is it wrong if you take a tank without a gunner" You go sloi!

I go through that every day, get in before him and redline him, yea yea I know but its the only way and it will help your team, I flew for a guy on daqing and he missed easy TV shots, I said please dont get in if you cant gun and he replied with "f u and I can gun" so he got in again, I redlined him and then left the server

complain I dont care if I see a noob in the chopper with me Ill ask him to get out nicely if he doesnt do it and starts acting stupid he can expect to be redlined

I get into the chopper and switch to gunner, my pilot jumps in and we head out towards olive hill on gulf of oman. He proceeds to hover while moving around a little bit. Needless to say we get shot. He then takes off again, I see the E chopper I spot him out, my pilot is staying still again. I type in chat "ATTACK HELICOPTER UP LEFT" nothing, although now he is flying in a STRAIGHT line back towards the carrier so I type in "ATTACK CHOPPER BEHIND US" Nothing. He is still creeping back to the carrier ever so slowly. Are people really this dumb?

I have had that often that's why I can never do what I'm better in than the the other sucker in the chopper 99% of the times. I know people who are good in the chopper and when they hop in I'll be their pilot/gunner anytime, anyday.

Desertfox I mostly have this problem too I say <TEAM> CHOPPER BEHIND US !!!! TURN AROUND!!!!!!!!

And then boom some punk just hit us..

Well to disprove your theory, I've been on the same account since I bought the game six months ago. I'm a first sergeant now and if you look at my stats (especially helo stats) I definitely won't get redlined by any means. Rank means nothing, when are people going to understand this?

What do you mean with "I won't get redlined?"
Any KDR less than 2 in chopper (specially if you have 80+) hours means either that you blow or your enemies are way too good.

I had a pilot like this today, it was so frustrating, I usually pilot but this guy was persistent and insisted that he would fly. I gave up on him after 4 deaths in a row because he refused to line me up for a TV shot on enemy choppers.
