A thread celebrating team-work and valor.

i was reading the thread called Give some love to engineers and on the second page i came across a post by Six. in which he said
How about we start a thread celebrating team-work and valor... eh?
so i decided to start a thread about it. so please talk about all the times you have experience team work and valor, whether it was yourself or other players.

although i havent experience much team work from other players, i would like to note that i help the team when im not killing people. one of the things i do is if im not using the medic kit and i see one on the ground i go and pick it up to revive and heal my team mates around me that are dead or hurt. another situation is when im ina squad or following other people and they get killed infront of me, i pick up their kit and revive them. not only is this helping your team mate but its also helping your team by not losing tickets, or not fizzling out an attack on a flag. yeah sure its only 1 ticket, but sometimes it can make all the difference.

I celebrate it everynight. The occurances are too often and to many to list.

Defended docks last night for nearly the entire stretch of the round. Had the luxury of a chopper pilot who spotted vehicles for us as the crested the hill. We put down fire before they even came into view on the high road hitting them as soon as they crested it.

A couple crafty enemy attempted to parachute in and take hide in buildings, we flushed them out on foot when needed.

My guys often walk right into claymores (on purpose) while taking TV Station. Knowing that I stay alive, they know they'll be right back in that stairwell as soon as their spawn time ended.

Any one telling you one sniper and a support or medic can defend TV Station, never had my squad trying to take it. We run man after man right into the claymores till we're on top of you.

Teamwork is the best thing about BF2. It's too bad others don't realize that . Sad commentary on today's youth, if you ask me.

Me and my old clan, we would always play at Karkand. We would get the HUMMWV and burn it down to the island take the factory, and then the rest of the island in less then 7 mins, we had 2 guys at each flag. After that, we defended anything that need to be defended.

The best teamwork I usually come across is engineers in tanks supporting and repairing each other in firefights.

Teamwork in Public BF2 Servers? No.. Especially not on Karkand but on some maps there is Teamwork it's really funny cause on 80% of the Karkand servers there is absolutely no teamwork. Whilst on other servers who aren't running Karkand there is usually a bit more teamwork.. I wonder

I rack up kills for my gunners and try and line them up fpr tv shots as often as I can and I aslo heal team mates and all that stuff.

Teamwork is when U revive mates in Ur squad but running around Hotel with paddles is just whoring

Teamwork is best when u cap/defend flags with ur squad and earn points

Guys that consistantly try to spot targets they dont have much chance of engaging get my vote, and help me greatly as a sniper. You can only see so much at a time, and spotting targets for your team helps everyone.

LOL! I love you man! (in a buddy-buddy manner of course lol) thanks for bringing it up; I would have done it myself, but I was wondering if anyone else actually cared for it anymore.

Teamwork and valor? I can remember a lot of instances of that; there were times I have stark memories of the opposite; where I'd been TK'ed for my helo (M95 snipers, usually clans- needing to boost their stats).

Regardless, back on topic, to Team-work and valor!; I remember a time when I got my mates here in Sydney together- for a big BF2 bash at a net cafe, and there managed to be enough CD-Keys to accomodate all 6 of us. God we were good- coz we were within earshot of each other. We formed tactics and drills for certain situations; and finally put it to work on Sharqi. It really shone in the suburbs because we made a slow advance to the TV-Station, and we stayed alive... each and every one of us the whole way there. Every opposition that met our squad got taken apart; mostly because- upon hearing any one of us say: "*enemy unit* spotted!" we all take cover on either side of the streets, and just shoot accordingly, and we wait until we get the 'all clear' from the squad leader to make our move again.

We rarely used the sprint; coz we worked better without anyone falling behind. Our medic was excellent; I was the squad-leader, playing as Spec Ops- coz I'd actually be the point man when we're moving- and the moment I spot an armour or APC, everyone takes cover, and as the armour goes past me, I plant a C4 on it- and detonate- as 2 of our AT guys at the rear pop out to finish it off when they hear the bang. Our support man was also contributed greatly- especially to me and the AT, since it was very easy for AT and SpecOps to run out of ammo; plus providing suppressing fire and of course- an effective anti-infantry measure, as he covers our rear with the Medic. Our assault guy (who took point with me) pulled off some of the best shots though, and deployed the smoke grenades like a pro- either when we were pulling out and covering our retreat, or covering our movement from a dangerous situation.

That was my best BF2 experience ever. Too bad we never did it again after that night.
