Lag? As in your FPS lowering or multiplayer lag? I wish people on these forums would be more specific

If you are talking about low FPS, then I'm not surprised if you have read up you will know that FSX is designed for DX10 and Vista. To get the most out of FSX you’re going to spend a whole lot of cash.

If you are talking about online lag, then I wouldn't count on it being fixed anytime soon. It has been around since FS2002.

ya i get lag too. cuz each inch of the world u go more stuff appears. dont even ge tme started the lag at airports. this snt system lag is was just bad. good thing i have a vista ready custom made machine bein made for me

FSX takes some heavy GB.. The only new thing I like, is the multiplayer. You can be 2 pilots in 1 jet togheter now

my fs9 folder is 14 gigs with add-ons
my bf2 folder is 10 gigs and half the mods dont even work anymore. I have about five battleracer folders.

FSX was designed for DX10. The game runs like complete sh*t on my 7900GTX and not to mention, takes up way too much hard drive space. 13GB is insane. WTF were you thinking Microsoft? I uninstalled earlier yesterday, took damn near 30 minutes to complete.

Won't be trying this out again until I pick up a DX10 and a Core 2 Duo.

Im on an A64 3700+ SKT939 right now and Im no Intel fanboy, I actually take offense to that but seeing as how the Core 2 Duos are stomping the A64's right now, they are my next upgrade option unless AMD releases something killer which I don't see happening anytime soon. I went to QuakeCon this year and viewed what Intel had to offer and these CPU's are BADASS. You ought a read some of the Core 2 Duo and Core 2 Extreme reviews, Intel really gave AMD a run for their money.

Sure you can buy a A64 right now for super cheap and the AM2's suck a lot less juice but when it comes to performance, Intel got AMD beat.

What is so sad, the commercial even look bad. You see the frames they are getting? You would think for a commercial they are shooting to make it look good, they would have the most tricked out machine available. I am talking some $30,000 rendering box using nVidia Quadro's with 16 GBs of RAM and not some $700 HP Pavilion with onboard video. WTF!

ime going to buy fsx very soon and when the christmass money comes ill be uprading my nividia geforce 6200LE pciexpress card to a nividia geforce 7900GT pci express and will be doing a complete reinstall of my comp so it gets rid of my flight sim 9 stuff. then installing lockon modern air combat and lockon flaming cliffs. installing FSX and then saving up for lockon blackshark.

I suppose by now u havent seen bf2 there. Thats becuz i am quitting it then.
Ive reached the 1st seargent mark and thats it. Most people will be moving to bf2412 which i hate and BF2 will die out.
Eventually iwill upgrade my hard drive.

Only thing is ill have to be carfull of what addons i will install for fsx.

My other plan is to get the new video card. Save up for a bigger hard drive while saving up for lockon blackshark and saving up for FSX.

I think the bottem plan will do though
