as wit hall new games it will take some getting used too

it is a different game than bf2 only played the demo for about 15 mins so far

but i dont think it comes close to what bf2 offers

Well with a good new game you get that excitement and desire to explore it further ... I haven't found it in BF2142 yet.

My post pretty much covers everything that is wrong with 2142. In short 2142 is just a dumbed down version of the once proud Battlefield series with a heaping of dynamic advertisements to wash it all down. The demo itself while milding entertaining (in a corny way) doesn't seem to be all that popular with the majority of the demo servers empty or not full. The popularity is quickly dropping off as people get bored with the simplified gameplay mechanics. Best case scenario with 2142 is it having an equal number of players to BF2 after the first couple weeks. Far more likely in my mind is BF2 having a much higher player base with 2142 having very little replay value.

2142 does have one redeeming quality though...

Lmao ive seen that video and it is bound to happen in retail unless EA somehow manages to patch it out but i doubt they will.

I think it will sell well and be popular for the first 3 months (just like all the expansions) but then people will revert back to BF2.

I played the demo and thought it sucked - no atmosphere, gameplay is poor. It remided me a bit of Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter multiplayer. The concept of 2142 is good, but it simply is not fun. Great graphics alone do not make a good game.

Save your bucks for Unreal Tournament 2007 if you want futuristic war.

dont understand why they have even bothered making it, it looks like a bad version ov unreal. wot they should have done is tuned up bf2 with things like an extended karkand open it up more, add a few more guns and larger size maps, imagine 128 players on karkand. 2142 mite as well be called jedi outkast 3 or unreal tournement 5, id rather watch grass grow.

well u guys says it sux so much WHY DONT U IMPRESS US BY MAKING YOUR OWN GAME ON YOUR OWN??????????????? please all of u guys that says it sux wont sell might as well do this etc PLEASE IMPRESS US. i might as well pm a DICE member and ask them if these flamers diserve to even have a bf2 account. u guys realy need to grow up and get over this stupid **** "oh it sux oh oh im gonna complain" there is alot more stuff in the world that IS 100000000000x worse then a stupid bug. the troops the are in iraq afganistan etc. u know what they go thro??? HELL! comrad dies gets blown to peices etc. and compared to a bug in a game the bug nothing. the troops are trained disapline to get over these small things in live.u guys realy need to show respect for these guys and stop treating them like u own them. i think its time to grow up

so what ur saying (most ppl not directing u scinto sry if it sounded like it) "it sux" is feedback well what kind of feedback is that? sounds more like something like u guys suck at making games. i wouldnt even except it would u? even after the hard work they did and in the end the feed back they get from gamers who think they know-it-all they feel like they did that for nothing and then it turns out to be the same thing over and over until that person is pleased over a small little thing. i dont think those guys even get to spend time with their family (well they do but MOSTLY working their *** off) to make someone happy. maybe its time to give these guys a chance for once without complaining if u find a bug why dont u kindly report it? instead of saying OMFG WHEN WILL THESE ******* FIX IT???? and then making a sig that says say no to bf 2142 until they fix bf2. well how in the hell are they gonna fix it when they hav to much to do? im still pondering about why play it if u guys says it sux, move on! these guys are busting their buns of to make ppl happy be happy with what u got. if the game makes u bored just do something else instead of flaming EA and DICE to make u feel less bored. im sure EA and DICE has had enough of hearing, seeing stuff that says THIS GAME SUX, WTF are these guys doing? i even saw a person who said the game sux and he still plays it doesnt it just make u wonder why they still play it? thats what i do any time i get a new game i play it for a while see how it is and if i dont like i dont play it anymore. simple is that, i then move on with life. i see where your coming from but BF2 was a rushed game and was released with countless bugs, people arent happy with it because of all the problems they had to deal with from day 1, and since Dice didnt really solve the problems with the patches like most other companys would, by fixing the gameplay problems first instead of adding new content thus creating more problems is why people are still conplaining, their views arent getting through to the issues that should have been addressed from the outset

i see what u mean imo they rushed it to get some feedback at first came out with the first patch it got some new bugs and so on, imo they wanted to fix the game while it released patches and kept getting new bugs but couldnt u see what i meen? also imo the patches had more bugs and problems in there cause they were probably working on 2142. they basicaly wanted to start a clean slate to make things better no what i mean now ?

But, it was also rushed to release because of how impatient people are when it comes for "waiting for that new game." Its as much as the impatient gamers' fault as it is the developers' fault.
