The Sniper

By far one of the worst classes to play, in my opinion, and I absolutley love playing it. They have no armor, no close range combat capabillities, and they arent exactly team players. They detract from the whole battlefield experience by how they kill and how they operate, the only real benefit they possess as it pertains to team play is calling out enemies.

Now why am I addicted to playing as a sniper if they are pretty negative in almost everyway? Because there is something almost orgasmic when you pull of that perfect shot, one to the head abrutpley, you for that moment are a god and you just smote the weak for opposing you. Even if its that one kill you got, if it was a perfect shot I feel justified in having a 1:30 k/d ratio. (which has never happened to me thank god). I can understand why people hate the sniper and when I get killed by one I understand completely, but sniping in battlefield 2 is not practical, its art.

Snipers are fine...even better in teams.
My beef is with the guys who play support to mow people down with the PKM sniper rifle but won't give you a supply pack even if your standing right next to them yelling "I'm bingo on ammo"

i agree sniping is a art,i prefer it over any other kit.

with a good squad of m8's it can be usfull,can cap flags and defend them well with a good squad.

i must admit the vunrabilty's a sniper has makes it more tense,and cqc you have the pistol whitch can be very effective if use right(aim for the head and fire fast)

nothing better than hitting a headshot on a running target at 150-200m(you can imagine the look on there face)

long live the bf2 sniper and there victims :)

I dont mind sniping, they are good for ammo points and health points, but it gets annoying when 70% of your team is a sniper. The people who have skill in sniping are the ones that are good.

Medics should be greatful for snipers' existence. We're responsible for a huge portion of their healing and revive oppertunities.

same snipers are the best, especially in IO (at longe range of course)

I love being a sniper more than any other kit. I don't have special forces, so I'm usually toting an M24, though I'm pretty good with the M95. Occasionally I'll manage to grab an L96A1 off an enemy. One sweet gun.

The contribution a sniper makes to his team, depends on who plays. I'm ~170 pistol kills away from fufilling the global requirements for the pistol badge, and a good deal of those kills were from the silenced sniper pistol. I enjoy sniping tank gunners to make it easier for my team to C4 or AT them. I've sniped copter pilots with the M95 several times, and stopped countless Jihad jeeps in their tracks with a headshot. In pitched battles, a good sniper can make a huge impact, taking out AT/SF units so that armor can secure CP's.

Most servers I ever end up on the people are quite literally short in the IQ department.

I call enemies every chance I get since it is only logical.


YOu try to tell teamates to do the same but they act like they cant fuucking read or something


Every single MMORPG I have played be it shooter or fantasy people are just too damned retarded to make it enjoyable.


Not all mind you but like 90% of people just need to hang themselves.

i guess the art comes when you realise where all the possible sniping points will be around you for enemy snipers trying to get you sometimes its funny you can look around and guess maybe theres a few sat on a building,

but i do like the medic whores on the opposing team when i snipe, was playing mashturr last night and sniped some poor sole & a medic comes along to reivive them, shot him again medic revived and the guy went and TK'd the medic lol its just in certain situations you can rack up the kills while picking off threats to your team

a squad of snipers, can take down any other squad or rush.

thats my experience. 5 snipers and a medic, took down a whole zergling MEC rush on jalalalalalabad. so much fun.... all you could hear on VOIP is that, 'contact! on the kill', noob close to the wall... noob at destroyed tank... until we got kicked for 'hacking' and 'spoiling the game'

And there in lies the fun. If I see a medic following some one I shoot the first guy and wait for th medic to revive him, shoot him agian and agian until I grow bored and kill the medic also. This has backfired a few times. Once I killed a guy about 5 times, was getting ready to snipe the medic when someone snuck up on me and knifed me. I was out of Claymores so my back was exposed.

I would rather Snipe than anything else. I am constantly moving and going after flags. I spot out enemy forces and call in arty when needed. I will always cover my squad whe they are capturing a flag.

There is just something really satisfying about a head shot of a Spec ops placing C4 on a tank.

i was curious about this, but since when the MEC starts rushing at flags in jalalabad???
