You do know by your logic that BF2 is also a mod?

I'll explain my reasoning.

BF2 added a slew of new features to the Battlefield series, and the genre. Commanders, sqauds, unlocks, persistent scoring system, VoIP support, medals, etc etc etc.

BF2142 adds a new gameplay mode, a buddy list, and a new coat of paint. Things which should have been in BF2.

im not gunna bother with 2142 not my kinda game bf2 has been good for me over this past year and it will be a cold day in hell when i turn my back on one of my games.
