if im understanding the author correctly, he doesnt want to remove bombs entirely, just for the f35. as a frequent wake player, i can understand the pain of having ****ty f35 pilots that get shot down trying to bomb, or bail out just to capture a base. the best thing that the f35 can do for thier team on wake is to take out the mi28 and pester/kill the j10s.

Actually it isn't that worse idea like many of you try to bash into his head. In DC you had jets that were strictly for air plus bombers for ground like A10. This way they added lots of different jets and the overall balance maintained very well. You had like the mirage witch had double cannons but it wasn't that agile like a mig. Oh man the old days when arcade dogfighting was actually interesting and exciting. Now it's 'fire and forget' missiles and cannons that can't even shoot an angled jet.

I would suggest to make all the jets exactly the same as the j-10. That's all DICE seem to handle and would make it balanced.
Ofcourse in a perfect world I would make skill to achieve a lock-on like top gun style. Plus also good airbrakes so you can make a 'maverick' move on your opponent :)
